This alone is enough to make me favor going with the v8.
Plus, you know. V8.

Freaking complicated steering wheel. Seems like a bad idea to have a screen on the steering wheel at 200 mph, but they sit way lower. Kind of cool that they ain't standard and she had to kind of guess what that teams controls do.

I'm going V8. Probably 347 stroker.

I want this intake...except this is for a 351W which is a bit taller.

The 302/347 IR EFI intake is downdraft only...which is cool except it's tall.

My wife said no scoops or hood bumps. I told her, "but the Shelby's had 'em". Nope. :grumpy:

4 barrel and automatic. She's going to make it boring. Self-learning EFI I guess too.

I guess I'm going with a Ford AOD too. I could probably use a 700r4 or something, but I'll probably just stick with Ford.

Why can't more ads be like Japanese ads?

Why don't people write car songs anymore?

Chankgeez, let's start a modern car band celebrating our freedom and economy getting there.

I had an 86 corvette back in college that I brought back to life. I miss it and wish I had a wrenching project. However, when I look at my schedule, I'd just get depressed looking at the project untouched in my garage

so the front tires on the Matrix were totally fucko'd and i had to get new ones...it had that thing going on where the tires are worn unevenly so the steering wheel shakes like Michael J. Fox when you're going over 60. i got new Michelins, which i adore. i had Michelins on a Toyota i had in the 1990s--a late 80s Camry with a Celica engine and 5-speed manual which was an absolute weapon--and they were the best tires i''ve ever driven in the wet. there's so much traction on the drive wheels now...no more getting slippy off the line. i know they wear more quickly than regular tires, but IMO they're worth it. but then, i thought Michelin F1 tires were far superior to Bridgestones anyway.

There's a purple GTO or something similar on my street that I'll try to get a pic of...
Man, I heard the most glorious exhaust sound of my life the other day, from this car flying down the highway. I didn't see what it was, but the taillights were blocky and gridlike, like a 90s BMW maybe. It had all kinds of overtones going on, it was like a chorus of mean-ass prop planes. I wish I knew how to get that.
