Fail.
Typical Digitech waste of money.
It's more of a small form multifx that cops many of the sounds from Disturbed's first album...the "sitar" mode can pull off the eastern sounding part of the song stupify pretty well, though I'm sure it sounds nothing like a real sitar.
I only know this because my old bassist was obsessed with the band when they first came out
But yea...nothing to contribute here. There are pedals I'd never buy, but I want them all. Pedal love.
It's good to know so many people think TS's are as overrated as I do, haha... even GUITAR players...
Speaking of BOSS... I think they're just like every other "big name" mass-production companies... Which means they don't often take "risks" with the products, but they have so god damn many, there are bound to be a few good ones.
Of course some of the pedals are boring, but I still think some are great (at least in a Harsh Noise/non-guitar context):
ODB-3 Bass Overdrive... Freaking awesome end-of-chain distortion, and that's all I need to say. PW-2 Power Driver... One of the most "different-y" dist. pedals I own... Not much control, and way too much noise, but I still really like the tone and texture. DD-3 Digital Delay... Two words: HOLD M-M-M-MUUUAAOOWWW-WO-WO-WO-WEEEO-O-O-OD-D-D-D-DE. PS-5 Super Shifter... DEMON/CHIPMUNK VOX!!!
Also, I totally want a Boss OC-2 (or 3)
I haven't really used but one DigiTech pedal, but, based on the impression it gave me, I have to say I think I like Boss stuff better, if only for how it modifies the input/output signal (even if I only have use for a handful of Boss effects)...

Yeah, I think that's it (though I wouldn't know w/o looking)... I think I'd use mine with guitar more if I had an expression pedal, but screaming into a mic about being a little princess and wanting to light everyone on fire for denying me my Fritos and Dr. Pepper (don't ask) with the pitch set an octave below the input is still fun, even if I never used the other settings or played the guitar through it.
I like the detune, but I don't use it or the effects past it very often.
Thought about adding a switch to mine so I could switch it to flutter and leave it on without having to hold down the switch. I did find one setting that actually sounded pretty well with bass now I have to write a song that goes with it or I’ll have no real use for the pedal.

There are a million pedals I'll never own because I can't afford them. Maybe later, but certainly not right now. No Klon, no Zvex, no Redwitch...
I wouldn't rule anything out though. You never know what you can cause an effect to do until you screw with it. relatively plebeian effects can be made to do some crazy shit when you starve them of precious voltage. Ask yer old pal Aen.
EDIT:: not that Aen's fuzzes are plebeian. He makes the POWER STRUGGLE, which I'm SURE he's used on everything he can get his grubby mitts on.
