Yeah, it's just funny after all these years...

Everybody should just keep a 555 under their tongue and record what comes out their ears...

Just set up my line 6 looping on itself, one output to amp, one back into itself. Pretty interesting results. And cheap!

well my gakken came in today. For $20, I'm really glad I bought it. Really cool little box.

I want to mod it, specifically to have some sort of "hold note" function (or some kind of really really long release). I also want to mod it in other ways too, that's just the first thing that comes to mind. I can't find any instructions anywhere to mod it like that, does anyone know of one?

Also, I currently dont own a soldering iron (though I plan on getting one soon, I'll have to get one sometime in the future so I might as well get one now.) But until that happens I would like to know if there are any mods on this thing that dont require one (I know there's probably not, just wanted to see)

3 pages of muff wiggler mods for sx-150 ii to work through:
https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewt ... 630e15b662

tons of dinsync mods for sx-150 to consider (which may well apply to sx-150 ii, compare schematics sx-150 and sx-150 ii to establish which mods will work on both):
http://www.dinsync.info/2010/06/gakken- ... tions.html

soldering iron is a basic for mods. can you borrow?

re buying, this is what i've used for the past couple of years. tip is fine enough for circuit work. £14 and works great.

Oh shit, that's cheap. Everyone I've asked before said to spend at least 75 on one that's good enough for circuit worked. I'll probably order it this weekend then.

I have a shit ton of questions on the gakken/modular synths/mods/prices/synths in general and since we've completely changed the original meaning of this topic I think I'm just going to make a new thread.

Ohhh, I thought you meant there was another category like "General Gear" and such. Are you sure I shouldn't make my own topic? I have a LOT of questions.
