It has a very long throw and can be described as "synthy" or "phasery" in its sweep. Much more like a versatile filter than a normal wah.

Ok, so probably similar to the Wilson Freaker Wah or the Parapedal?

I think he's gonna do a run of pcbs. If you want some, you should contact him.
Of course, if you still wanna do it on your own, you can probably borrow it when it's back.
Amazing. I am excite

yeah, I think they're similar.
there are a few demos out there, but I'm not sure there're any good ones. I'll try to find one.

I'll see if I can get Joe to chime in on his progress.

Well, I did find one demo, but it's really not that good. So, I don't even wanna post it.

No problem... if I decide to get a wah it will be the Wilson Freaker.

Only thing that's held me back from getting a freaker, and wahs in general for that matter, is the fucking enclosures. Too much wasted real estate. And there's no way I'm using any pedals off board

If Maxon made a "vintage series" fuzz...I'd stop procrastinating and put together the board of their big boxes that I've been wanting for years.
But lack of fuzz is what keeps that dream on the back burner.

I think you should consider rehousing a fuzz in a gutted Maxon big box enclosure.

That'd be crazy cool. Especially when people see you stomp on a chorus or something and...FUZZZZZ

Nice idea fellas. I could def go for that...but I wouldn't use the CS-550 to accomplish it.
Owned one and (foolishly) sold it before I got into playing guitar.
But on bass, samplers & synths it sounded great...I just needed some extra gear budget for rare stuff that isn't so easily to repurchase.
The DS-830 Distortion Master OTOH, seems like it would make a good project. 4 pots, evenly spaced. And a unique metallic toned enclosure.
Yeah I like that idea.

yes, the thunderbolt project is in the hopper. the tbolt tribute pedals will be in regular crybaby type shells ( not chanks), and best of all , solely solar powered. hope you guys are doing some outdoor shows in sunny climes.
