Pedals you wish existed?

I need an amp switcher/crossover, like everything above a certain frequency goes to one amp, everything below it to another.

i believe weve talked about this

my drummer homey john does this in his other band
i forget exactly how he does it
maybe hell chime in and help you out
i try and doit the fake way using pitchshifters
i did find a setting on the delaylab though
its a dual band delay
hi/lo go out seperate channels
with different delay times
but yeah one pedal to accomplishm would be nice

Monophonic delay.

So you play a note or whatever, and it will repeat like a normal delay, but then when you go to a different note, the previous delay sound disappears. So none of the repeats will cross-over each other. And you could control the repeat rate with an expression pedal.

For all you guys who are into cv/lfo controllable stuff and assignable expression pedals, you should check out the Clavia nord modular / micro modular synths. You can make some really amazing effects patches, like 95% of what's been posted in this thread, but you have to use a true bypass box or something to make it work on a pedalboard. Which brings me to my dream pedal. A nord modular unit made from the ground up as a stopbox!

Assignable expression control and the like should also be looking at rack units.

LFO control may be available as well for many of them; it's built into my Roland GR-55 synth (with a fairly large multifx unit as well) - I can assign LFOs to automate any parameter, or toss stuff to MIDI or expression as well.

LFO controlled delay time and filter gets entertaining.

A flanger pedal on a treadle where you're able to control the sweep of the flange by sweeping the treadle. So when the toe is down the "sheeeee" part of the "jet" is sounding and then the heel is down the "shooooo" part is sounding.

Mutron Flanger is what you want for that.



I have one, and the pedal side of the effect controls the sweep, so yeah, controllable jet engine.

OK, I know they're pretty well unobtainium, but I got one for a reason. Yes... we'll be working on cloning it soon, and hopefully it shouldn't need the SAD1024 chip either.

for the guys wanting CV controllable fuzzes, some questions

-Would you prefer a larger case with built in lfo and multiple parameter $200-300
-Small case with cv jack for a single parameter - sub $100
-Medium case with 2/3 parameter via cv independent cv jacks - $150-200

and what parameters would you prefer to be cv'able - volume, oscillation (feedback loop alike), voices, tone, bias/texture, other

I would go with the medium case - i have the LFO separate.
Parameters (3?): Voice, Bias/Texture, Gain (perhaps oscillation - not sure if it would make sense to me - but it may be at least challenging)

Brian from ss/bs was working on a really cool wow & flutter pedal. In the meantime, the Hexe Melusine is pretty sweet (though fairly pricey if I recall correctly).

Seems like melusine can't do pitch vibrato!
