Yes, it appears to be a sequencer that outputs CV. So as it goes through each step, it outputs a CV voltage determined by each slider. For all the talk I've heard over the last few years about this being a golden age for bassists, there sure are a lot of lazy-ass me-too pedal makers out there that refuse to put in any fucking effort at all.
Maybe if they had done that, you could at least make an argument. But I thought that sounded like donkeyshit. That's not to say that every pedal with a clean blend sucks. The TAFM and HOTD are both awesome. But not because of the clean blend.
Sorry I just get worked up by this shit. I just wish there were more things out there for bassists that were actually exciting and groundbreaking. Instead we get yet another crappy overdrive with a clean blend.
