Screw that. This is 2011.
Bistromathics all the way!!
Anyway this is seeming more and more like a brilliant idea. You are going to buy your favourite pedals separate anyway. The Console II would simply be an awesome utility tool for a collection of one off pedals you occasionally use combined with unique cartridges and interesting tweaking/cascading possibilities. And at a little over 100 bucks for the machine and 50$ per cartridge it isn't exactly daylight robbery either.
Ok I'm sold

They're not that close to the stomps, and I always thought side-mounted things (like toggles) would be easier to snap off.
But if it's really a problem, maybe something a drawer handle could fix? Not overtop, but behind each cart?

'Course! Cartridges make the connection to send the circuits into the Console, through knobs and out jacks!

Hey Devi have you thought about something like this to calm fears of snapping off the cartridges from an inadvertent stomping? Are the cartridges gonna be made out of metal or plastic?

I feel pretty confident in the safe guards we already have set in place, but am considering offering an optional attachment to quell people who feel too nervous with out one.
Cartridge enclosure is going to be sturdy plastic.

as the only person that has ever been able to play the id and idv2 side by side you have no idea how awesome the id is...
devi,
what are your flavors that are currently planed for initial release and to follow up do you have a second party that plans to have a cartridge ready for your launch?

Super excited! I'm really pumped to see what gets released. And honestly, the price is MORE than fair. I'm going to be thrilled to have something on my board with the utmost flexibility.
Do some crazy oscillating fuzzes ppl!

I'm assuming because they're SMD cards they'll probably cost more as an initial investment (due to volume required), and turn around time will probably be a bit slower than pedlulz. Meaning they'll probably take a bit more R&D to release a card.
