Old DOD and cheap assed Ibanez pedals are my favourite pedals ever. Yeah. I admit it. Most of the Ibanez shit is wacked-out analog modulation, and dirt cheap (I only buy used these days anyhow).

I hate hate hate Boss. Such lifeless, boring pedals.
Digitech has a couple of really cool pedals (Hyper Phase), but overall... blech.
Fuck Line 6.

I'm cool with digital, but I can't stand modelling. Even if it sounds perfect, it won't react right to other pedals. There's something about having REAL components that's just... better.

I'm honestly not too happy with the direction EHX has been taking. I admit that they're making some of the coolest stuff, but the new stuff just doesn't feel like EHX. They could at least make the nano series all shiny like the old stuff.

Though, their digital stuff is basically the best use of DSP ever.

i dont quite like line6.
tonecores are such a pain...
size of a "normal" pedal, but eats power like a huge pedal

hm i also don't like plastic pedals, well at least not the behringers
danelectro plastic pedals at least look ok, plastic trying to copy the look of boss or digitech metal pedals...
if they were a different look, i'd like em...

haha hooray for liking pedals based on looks...

I can understand the hatred of boss,

it's the same boring sounds we've heard a million times before, and that's why we're sick of them

But honestly, the PN-2 is one of the COOLEST pedals EVER, EASILY,

and The Boss FZ-2 and FZ-3 fuzzes are easily two of the best sounding, most versatile fuzzes i have ever heard.

I imagine the reason nobody ever gives them a go is because A) they're boss and B) they don't sound like hendrix and i think thats what mainstream guitarists go for.

And the distortion/feedbacker was a cool idea. It just sucks. alot.

Oh i also hate Digitech, Line 6 and DOD. Grunge pedal
I've got a fuzzbox and i'm not afraid to use it

i really don't hate Boss pedals so much as i associate Boss pedals w/ certain types of music. seeing Boss "chains" is also a little off-putting. but at the same time there are people who use Boss pedals whose music i like. & i also LOVE Roland in general. so IDK. i guess it is kind of fun to hate on Boss. just as it is fun to hate on other "crap" pedals. it is like a sport or something.

Boss obviously has some great legendary, highly sought after pedals. the Boss Twin pedals seem decent also.

I checked out some sound clips. The phase into distortion thing is a cool idea, don't like the sound tho. It would be fun in a Sitar Swami in a way. :idk:

i alwayz wondered why Digitech never came out with any decent distortion pedals. at least on the Ibanez tone loc level or something.

Doesn't sound like a sitar in any way, shape, or form.

Fail.

Typical Digitech waste of money.

That was more or less what I was getting at with my earlier post about Behringer pedals. Snobbery sucks even when it comes from people that I like.

I don't know... a bit of hatred and snobbery makes the world go round!

Seems like most people here are just utter pedal whores and would pretty much try anything. Even the ardent anti-Boss folk seems to acknowledge one or two cool pedals and there's plenty of love for Behringer too. I'm just curious to see people's taste...
