I'm a big fan of thou and was really into nirvana as a lad. That being said, this album rips!

It's a bit different from their previous stuff, with a little more breathing room. If you saw them on the tour where the toms were covered with blankets, with mixed percussion instruments on top, it's that material.

Man I cannot get into this sort of "arbitrarily press the mute button on tracks" type of stuff and I hold BTA as the worst offenders around... But! The embedded track sounds great and obviously these guys can play the hell out of their instruments.
It's just not for me in the slightest.

tHIS IS UNEXPECTEDLY GOOD
(And not because Thou arent' a good band, but because Nirvana covers usually sound like shit)

I actually didn't love it. Regrettably I would have to say I preferred the covers of the hits (which are fantastic), while the rest of it was... fine but not as good as any other Thou albums?
I believe it's just a collection of things they've done over the years rather than a record they've deliberately put together from scratch so that's fair enough.

Yes it definitely seems to be a sort of b-sides thing, so i didn't ecpected it to have the cohesiveness of an album.
Agreed on covers>other songs

They're all Nirvana covers! I just meant I preferred the ones of the really well known catchy songs haha.

It has also got me to listen to Nirvana again which isn't a bad thing.

But also the new 16 is pretty rad. Definitely not the same without Cris on vocals, but still pretty excellent sludgy goodness:

New Pyrrhon has 3 tracks out now as well and by all accounts its going to be a banger.

But, uh, Curse of the Crystal Coconut is still a banger. Anything that gets children singing along to genitalia-related insults is a 10/10 for me.
