What about ring mod? Can you set this bad boy up with a per string ring mod for the GK3 power user fellowship?

I’ve been to busy to RTFM or see how far the ringmod goes. The vguitarforums folks are pouring through the available info and may know.

Also they have a firmware update wishlist on their Sy1000 sub and the Roland/Boss folks are paying attention over there. So ask for the features you want—maybe they will even incorporate them at release. There are regulars there weird enough to second ring mod related features.

oh yeah -those guys are the high-level user base.

You may have made the right decision. Tripleplay seems fantastic at what it does and, unless SY-1000 leaps past it, is the best solution for triggering MIDI synths and samplers. SY-1000 seems like an attempt to update the VG-99 with some detriments relative to the 99, which ain’t bad for this price. If I hit the lottery I would get both because they’re different use cases that they cover.

yass, tbt, I don't spend a lot of time dwelling on buyer's remorse for the Triple Play - it's pretty dang fab, and I was and am focused on triggering the goodies I have in my stable. It's the per string processing possibilities that tend to have me with my nose all smooshed up against the GK store window display Thing for me is keeping clear the differences b/w actual possibilities and my fevre dreams....

I am having some 1st world probs deciding which guitar to install it on (or more accurately switch the installation to), but that's my brain problem situation
