i want fuzz with a CV controlled EQ filter thingy of some sort. to fade live from the "listening through a telephone" to full blown real life fuzz

YES! And also with a square wave LFO one could make it jump back and forth between them.
Gain and volume seem the least important, since they can be modulated by putting a trem pedal either before or after respectively. Other stuff like tone has no precedent, really.

in that case you would probably want a band pass filter after the fuzz with the CV controlling the band width and another knob controlling the center frequency, then you could use the CV to fade between the bandlimited 'telephone' sound and the full frequency fuzz toan. I reckon that would sound great.

-Would you prefer a larger case with built in lfo and multiple parameter $200-300
-Small case with cv jack for a single parameter - sub $100
-Medium case with 2/3 parameter via cv independent cv jacks - $150-200
and what parameters would you prefer to be cv'able - volume, oscillation (feedback loop alike), voices, tone, bias/texture, other
I personally would have more use for a large box with an lfo that you can adjust the depth, rate and waveshape of (because i dont sync everything up, but others may have more use for small boxes with just cv jacks)
as far as parameters go i think bias/texture and oscillation would be the most worthwhile for CV control.

I would take the Medium case w/3 parameters please.
Also, someone should build a an organic, transparent OverDrive.

Fairfield 4eyes does this in a limited manner.

I want Alesis to put a Midiverb II in a pedal that works well for guitar levels with non-tone-suck buffering, and with the ModFX algorithms thrown in for good measure. Oh, and for Yamaha to come out with a Magic Stomp 3 with real-time controller access and full MIDI and better buffering.

I'm one of the few who doesn't really care much about the size of his pedals. If I had a master touring rig then I would probably get them all condensed into a makeshift modular synth. But I guess the "medium" option seems most reasonable. Unless the pedal is digital, in which case designers really should consider some programmable or dipswitchable CV options, it's not about having full modular control over everything just because the spaghetti would get a little out of control. Well, I would love full modular control but at that point Euro or 5U is probably a more practical form factor. I mean, Koma pedals handle it all quite well, but then they're probably too big and expensive for a lot of people.
Anyway I love all the options you gave, again the idea is just to have something
besides fuzz wah -- my fave would probably be bias/texture, although having a manual tremolo (CV input) is pretty cool. But wet/dry blend or CVable gain is probably the most useful, at least for synths. It's quite common to want the louder parts to be more distorted and the quieter parts clean (tho I could see the reverse working as well). Major bonus points if there's not too much volume drop (CV ranging from clean boost to thick fuzz)... I do also think that EXPcontrol over oscillation/feedback is more useful than a momentary freakout switch.

A flanger pedal on a treadle where you're able to control the sweep of the flange by sweeping the treadle. So when the toe is down the "sheeeee" part of the "jet" is sounding and then the heel is down the "shooooo" part is sounding.
That sounds like what the digitech expression factory does on the ada flanger mode
I was just thinking this, and I don't know why I didn't think of mentioning it sooner. It's exactly what mine did, and I'm pretty sure that's exactly what you're looking for Zander.
So I went looking to see if this is accurate:
http://www.digitech.com/system/documents/22/original/EX7Manual_English.pdfSo what is described sounds like it might be close, but I don't know that I'm convinced that it's actually what I'm looking for. The "swoosh" of a flanger is caused by the LFO (low frequency oscillator). What I'm saying I'd like is for the function of the LFO to be replaced by the motion of the treadle. Yes, as stated above, I'd love a flanger inside a wah enclosure, but I don't want the "manual" or the "speed" or the "regen" or the "depth" controlled by the treadle. I want to be able to "swoosh" when I want the "swoosh" to happen, not because I've started the song at the "right" part of the regular action of the LFO and get the rhythm exactly right for everything to match.
If I'm playing Van Halen "Unchained" I'd like to be able to recreate that exactly because I have control of the swoosh by making the flange effect swoosh because I'm moving the pedal.
The Digitech Expression factory may do that - I honestly don't know.
I feel like it's so hard to describe the effect I want and how I want to control that effect... I hope this was clear.
Thanks!
You want to be able to control the sweep of the flange. The expression factory can do that. You want to control the speed of the lfo controlling the sweep, the ex-7 can do that too and all kind of crazy cool shit. It's quite the versatile beast.

Probably wouldn't be cheap and a major pain to manufacture, but I'd love to see an analog frequency shifter (even if the carriers were digital cores). Even if it's the size of a Moogerfooger.
More delays with an external FX loop built into the delay pedal, like the Moog, I think JHS panther too, not sure what else.
More stereo pedals that are truly stereo so you can run them in series as two mono effects or in parallel as a stereo effect, I do this with the JoMox TResonator sometimes. If they're not true stereo effects, you get nasty bad feedback.
Matter of fact, feedback loops in everything, for the inception patch, effect within an effect within an effect within an effect...

And finally, some easy way to add voltage control to pedals. I've read you can use vactrols to do this, but never found any schematics showing how.

For all you guys who are into cv/lfo controllable stuff and assignable expression pedals, you should check out the Clavia nord modular / micro modular synths. You can make some really amazing effects patches, like 95% of what's been posted in this thread, but you have to use a true bypass box or something to make it work on a pedalboard. Which brings me to my dream pedal. A nord modular unit made from the ground up as a stopbox!

I need an amp switcher/crossover, like everything above a certain frequency goes to one amp, everything below it to another.

Agree. eBay prices are wtf but they pop up for cheap here and there, synth forum classifieds are good (muff wiggler, vse). I got one in a more than fair trade on Craigslist but sold it a while back. Now full of regret.
