Build one. You just need a toggle, a transistor socket and then a fairly accurate meter to get 2.743 or something megaohms resistance. This method will also let you figure the leakage which is super important in Ge stuff. The tagboard design is great and with a little toggle wizardry you can have it set up for PNP and NPN :)

For sure. I like the 'tremolo' mod and a couple of the glitch/synthy ones.

I bought the black anniversary one just to mod since it has the big through hole circuit board still, but I haven't gotten to it yet :erm:

And - just because - a Bazz Fuss with all 5 components in sockets. Oversized R/C and Russian D/Q for starters.

Here's a pic to celebrate a successful debugging of the Hyperion 2, which sounds great amidst the other mayhem :)

I'm also pleased that chained with all my other pedals the oscillation is a little more usable than it is on its own.

The next thing I'd like to do is add some sockets for the transistors in the Random Number Generator and see what else it can do (it's fun but a little limited compared to a proper one so it's worth a try).

After that I want to go back to the OK on a breadboard and see if I can make one work :)

Finally got around to boxing the Hapalochlaena (Frostwave Blue Ringer v.2). On slow frequencies, the tremolo vibe is amazing. On higher frequencies, the bell clangs are crystalline. Just awesome.

This started off as a Hipkitty Oxblood distortion, but morphed into a fuzz. Added the trimmers on the right, lower one up from 10k to 100k, which gave me leeway to audition a bunch of transistors in the three positions. Settled on, l-r: MP40, BC108, 2N3904. Dunno what to compare it to, but definitely something I don't have.. maybe most like a Meathead from the demos I've heard, but not as doomy and high gain. Will probably tweak it some more though, I set the trimmers a little below their max gain and volume before boxing it up.

Enclosure is a 1590B, had these enclosed jacks that seemed like a good fit, and they were. Of course I had to shave off some plastic and also grind down the lip on the bottom plate to make them fit, but other than that no major struggles. LED is red. Hand painted everything (except for the spray primer+matte clear coat). Named after everyone's favorite embalming aid. Surprisingly there isn't a black metal band called MYRRH, though there should be.

That MYRRH is hot!

Here's a Parallel Drive, the bass version, built on a Damnation Audio PCB. It's quite simple but very useful, two drives in parallel, each side with gain and level.
The bass version has a cleanish boost and a rat style distortion, that you can mix to taste.

I added clipping options on both sides: GE-none-SI for the boost and LED-none-SI for the distortion (stock is SI on both sides).
There are sockets on the lugs of the clipping switches, so I'll try some more stuff in there.

It's an awesome pedal, the boost is very tasty and there are many different types of dirtiness to be had.

Finally built this Deadend Wurmloch (DBA Space Ring type thing)
Thing is freaking nuts....kind of nether region between fuzz and ring modulator??
I can't believe DBA doesn't sell these.

Just finishing up the Deadend Doppleganger clone soon, ordering parts from Tayda is taking ages and still waiting on the vactrol thingies.
