Re: Let's see your finished DIY projects!
This is my first build - it's a Rat clone (original 1986 circuit). Had it sitting in a drawer the last year or so, because it wasn't working when I finished it
I'm just kinda stupid though and hadn't seen that I broke one of the board wires off during installation into the enclosure. Decided to duke it out with the soldering iron yesterday and here we go, a new/old distortion box!
Didn't reaaaaallly want to sharpie it, but I kept forgetting what each pot was for. It looked better with no lettering - more old school radio-gizmo style.
Haven't tested it with the pictured MS20 yet buttttt it sounds good on guitar! (brb gonna play distorted synth for the next 6-18 hours)

I've abandoned vero projects for similar reasons, it's always some little short you can't see. Where'd you get those knobs though? They look awesome.

They're made by a company called Mentor. I bought them from Farnell (element14) in the UK. They have a few diff sizes but they don't make really small ones anymore, sucks.cherler wrote:I've abandoned vero projects for similar reasons, it's always some little short you can't see. Is this PPP's new print method for one-offs? Looks real nice in the pictures.

I haven't had a chance to play in forever. But I built these recently.

Alright this one I'm really proud off, I successfully hand-soldered a MI Kinks, which is basically all 0402. Besides for one 1M ohm resistor that shot off into the nether (that I somehow don't have a replacement for), everything was a success. Top 2 circuits are working, hoping to find at least a 0603 1M ohm lying around so I complete the bottom circuit. So fucking stoked. Was difficult, but a lot of fun.
(Left the picture big for that sweet, sweet, i'm bragging detail.)

Good God this is insanely cool!!!
Since it's asked question here....can you tell me where you got those knobs? Those things are brilliant looking. The whole pedal is amazing.

This so cool, and very well put together! I'm in the middle of a bunch of products, but I can definitely see this in my future.
