@rfurtkamp - Stupid question, if you had a behringer controller (forgot the model but it has lots of knobs. Can you access all those parameters there using the midi in? Or do you have to use the editor?

I can always divert shipping to someone if they want one of them.
 Bro, that's a very cool thing of you to do. This is why I love the forum. I'm waiting to here back on a police report on an accident I was just in (I got rear ended but I just want to make sure they declare I'm not at fault... car is fine... both drivers are fine... for you Mercedes Benz drivers... I don't want to get stuck being forced to pay for your $1K grills  ) otherwise I would consider it (it's amazing what happens in three pages of a thread    )
My pleasure buddy! And yes, this forum rocks. We all have to contribute to make it work. :thumb:

Lowest I've seen one of these. $550 with the pickup. "Make Offer" you can probably get $50 off. Sales tax depends on your state. Free shipping.https://reverb.com/item/30357704-roland ... ries-black

Since I will soon already have the pickup, this is the cheapest I've seen. https://reverb.com/item/30245569-roland ... edal-board. I would probably make an offer of $380 since the shipping is $30 and I pay NJ Sales Tax.

I honestly may have to look up the dimensions of the SY-1000. If it's not that big... Captain Rationalizing may have just plotted another successful treasure seize.

The with pickup is what I'd go if you can get it for $100 or less over without all day long (especially if cable is also included).

You're going to want one on another instrument sooner rather than later!

(Other option is direct order from Japan, usually much cheaper)

The blue ones, btw, are the Gen 1 versions (only difference is a few, less than 30 total) patch memory spaces in the blue vs the black (300 in the blue or so anyway).

That's it.

But they're older, etc.

I was listening to some freejazzfromhell m8. What do you record into? I have enough hardware where I don't need a bunch of softsynths per say. In fact, I'd rather do as much on my hardware before recording.

Thanks for the heads up. May make yet another offer on 'what I'm willing to pay' with the one with the pickup.

Lord Galvar tried to get me to do this when I was into rack gear (I still am into rack gear but that first incarnation) and I didn't listen. I should really look into it.
Thanks M8

I don't use any softsynths fwiw.

Into, oh, lord...

A master pedalboard split into the rack, three amps typical, a master rack, and discrete channels for everything in the rack and then some so I can mix/adjust/tweak a little later.

Tascam US16x08, everything recorded 'pseudo-live', no edits per se - faders yes, edits no. I can't clone myself, and if I flub a track, I either keep it and work with it, or scrap the whole thing, period. So full improv, all the time!

Some of it...

I just find it funny you got them for all of $30 or something at the time. And now they're $200/Pop.

Thanks for posting by the way, I was cruising your site on Friday night looking for pics and listening to you summoning the gods and they were like, "We'd rather not." This was a compliment.

Yea, it's funny.

Most of my rack gear was extreme bargain bin, nobody cared.

The second I got < a year and a half ago for $55 from a Music-Go-Round, fwiw.
