I've proposed this move to my collaborator and wife on many occasions and suprisingly they always talk me out of it. Needless to say, I'll be eyeing your earnings and stroking my stubble.

Re: Elektron Digitakt
I somehow turned the green LED's purple and now it sounds so much better!
a personal goal of mine is to program a super choppy breakbreat but I keep ending up with this grind/industrial stuff ha.. everything I do sounds so dystopian. someday I will get my aphex twin on someday

ya'll should try sampling a synth arpeggio then tune it to the max with some fade out when trigged..getting some nice karplus strong sounds

PS yes please bring that A4!DRodriguez wrote:I'm still working on the making sense part. Have had them for a grand total of 36 hours. A4 was fairly easy to get working instantly. Octatrack has a little bit of a learning curve.
I'll bring them to the foam party chez j'angle if you want to try it out.

Re: Elektron Digitakt
I got one last week. Still in the learning process, but so far I love this unit!
Super easy, fun and inspiring, the more I use it the more I see more possibilities and come up with new ideas how to create grooves and mangle sounds!
Yesterday I loaded few wavetable samples in it... and now it's also a super cool synthesizer too!!! I lost myself inside an ocean of drones.

Re: Elektron Digitakt
MKII released today. Appears to on be upgraded in the display/encoder/back lit button departments. None of which exactly turn me off to what my mk1 is or justify the price increase imo.
Still love my mk1 for drum bus duty/summing whatever drum machines I'm using out of my mixer, pre compression.
Edit:
my bad, I had Analog Heat on the mind.... didn't read the damn topic title.

^ any clips of that?
I'd be interested in a mkii that has the ability to layer multiple samples onto one trig. Or at least easily (I saw a video of some convoluted work around using the midi tracks).

Re: Elektron Digitakt
Elektron have said Heat MKII was necessary because a bunch of components they were using are no longer available. I guess it brings it in line with the rest of their products.

Re: Elektron Digitakt
mpc500 does this in spades. 4 layers per pad. 500 is slept on imho.Ugly Nora wrote:^ any clips of that?
