Re: fuzz with lots of low ends (not muff)
FZ2 has tonnes of low end but it's not very good for chords. More than two notes at a time and it turns to mud.

Tell us where in your signal chain you wanna run this fuzz, Syl, because I think that makes a difference.

I'm not sure it's only that easy to be honest, it sits just perfectly between heavy and open plus distortion and fuzz.
I still dig my Harmonic Fragilator and Pharaoh for those type of sounds but they are a bit different from this Model feT I think.

I don't have anything to add other than that this thread is reigniting my ever present Buzzz even more.
I liked the HM-2 a lot for bassy applications. I bet one of it's fancy varients would sound pretty good.

Re: fuzz with lots of low ends (not muff)
The HM-2 is great too, I also have one, but I don't think it's what Syl is looking for.
I would assume it sounds too much like a distortion for him, it also is a little gated and not wide open, plus the mids are really snarly.

It's this thing in the high mids that makes it sound kinda nasal in a sometimes annoying way.
I hear the same thing in the Heavy Machine vids that were recently posted.
Furthermore bass heavy fuzz pedals can sound kinda bloated in the attack which makes them sound a bit weak.
Besides that a lot of Muffs still sound more like a distortion than like a true fuzz.
I think Syl is more looking for a wide out open fuzz that sounds heavy, good on chords, but still like a true fuzz.
It's derived from a ram's head Muff...minus the final gain & clipping stages (uses 3 transistors instead of 4)
The result is a dirt box with massive bottom end, but open & dynamic at the input. It lacks that highly compressed, singing violin-sustain top end Muffs are known for; which is probably the quality you're trying to avoid. Instead it's extremely fuzzy & ideal for rhythm playing.
Def worth consideration

Anything by Dwarfcraft generally has enormous low end.
The Depth Charge is also amazing. I'm not a guitar player though, so I'm going to struggle a bit with this. I mean, I can make any fuzz sound big with an eq pedal.

Yeah I mean you should just get the gnarliest treble booster you can find and run it into a SOMMS.

Re: fuzz with lots of low ends (not muff)
I had some good experiences with a Caroline Olympia fuzz. Seemed to have a more open voicing and more bottom end than tweaked muff derivatives. I really liked it on chords and it's a cheaper sort of a pedal for it's sound quality. BAT Revelation Superbass was also extremely cool but may not open up enough to be what you need. The Creepy Fingers Harikari has ridiculous bass and has the awesome ability to make the rest of your band disappear if you want to cut through.
