I quote this a) because I agree with it wholeheartedly and b) because I'm guilty of it.

Right on, guys! Failure is from my generation. And, they were underrated and out of the mainstream. And, I liked it like that. I don't believe they were the best band in the world. But, I think it is super cool that a new generation can appreciate them.

I pulled out my old Failure records, because of this thread, to reassess. I think I would agree that I don't like Comfort very much. Fantastic Planet was, and still is, my favorite, of course. The surprise, though, has been that I now think Magnified is just about as good!

On the whole, I like this better than Fantastic Planet, but Mulholland Drive brings things to a screeching halt. I've tried a few times to construct a sentence that begins "if I ever need another Beatles/Beach Boys pastiche..." but for the life of me I don't know what I'd say.

I loved the first Failure record, especially the brutality of "Macaque."

Even though I'm dredging up an old thread, I came home tonight to find Fantastic Planet on my doorstep. :yay: :!!!:
I feel sorry for my neighbours, though.

Did you buy 120g black or 180g clear? Have you played it yet?

120g Black.
I'm not paying $100 for a brand new record.
Even if it's signed and fancily coloured.

Also, it kinda pisses me off that they didn't include a digital download for FP.
Granted, I could just find it online. But I'd rather get a virus-free version straight from the source.
