But holy fuck it's hard to find good articulate clean speakers that don't have tweeters. I tend to prefer a more GK sound...not tons of muddy low rumbling and worse.....my old rig hasn't sold, yet. Six watchers on ebay but it went unbidded upon.

Best bet for a clear sound without a tweeter is going to be a sealed cab. It'll play nice with your Mesa/Boogie too - really nice. The price is size/weight since they tend to exist mostly as 610 and 810 cabs.
For me I am only using fuzz/non tweeter friendly sound for some situations. For a clean sound I don't really care for anything without, so I just use the attenuator on my cab as needed when using fuzz.

I found my guys.
http://www.gallien-krueger.com/products_blx_series.htmlAnd they're sealed. Kinda wish they had a 212 version....but ah well. Beggars can't be choosers.

The choice is obvious; Keep the amps. Quit the pussy band.

Hey!
Sugar Ray played acoustic sets from time to time and they're the most hardcore band of all time.

Haha. Well fuck me.
Now I'm digging this fEARful stuff. Some friends of mine are really handy and swear we can all build it if we get the kits.

1. you never know, this last sat the show I played.. the sound dude didn't show... the backup sound dude didn't show.. so all that got run through the pa was vocals.. the mesa came in so handy!
2. There is a acoustic blues/americana act I have been playing with from time to time for over ten years and have done exactly 4 shows where I did not bring a SVT or the 400+ and all 4 had to do with them being last minute where grabbing my rig didn't work out time wise so I either got my little amp [a old fender baseman 20

] or just went through the pa... just say'n.

with bass, you can always turn a big amp down; the opposite is not true.

Yeah...that's my thing, now. Once it's racked, it'll be 75 lbs or so I'm lugging around for whatever the occasion. I'm pretty much decided on the fEARful. Going to get a kit, cut my own wood, and make a 15/6 and a 15/6/1 with the tweeter control on the side for easy adjustment mid set.
