I think I just found what I'm looking for:

Or maybe the Antenna 2.

what is it? sounds like ringmod. or a filter modulated at audio frequencies. I like this one. very subtle, not too tinny like most ring mods.

This would work fine with my clean sound. Not really a filter, but you can play with the frequencies and the mix knob help to keep the clean sound there.

Moog MF-101 Low Pass Filter?

@kosta, Can you get a cleanishhhhh (with parasites) AM radio sound out of this Lo-Fi Filter.

I like the sound that Marc Ribot get on the song Radio from his CD Silent Movies

you can get an am transmitter and a cheap ass am radio to use in the studio. the tiny speaker in the radio is a big part of that sound

also, in the studio, if you using software, we all are, mcdsp has something called futzbox

dude its awesome! its the weirdest filter i've ever played w/ tho. its almost like not really a filter at all in the traditional sense, altho it does do filter. its hard to explain...

it reminds me of the sp202 ring mod-ish when u crank the resonance and play w/ the cutoff. u can crank the gain too and its got really weird *evil*? qualities to it that turn your signal into awesomeness and boggled my mind...

..i remember sending a msg to the person i bought it from, something along the lines of "u sure this is a filter pedal?" :erm:

filters are a major interest of mine at the moment, and a frustration as well because everything out there is either extremely arbitrary in terms of what it will do or insanely expensive (or both!). i really like the resonant filter functions on the Prometheus, but i'm not mad about the envelope filter which has a flat plastic-y quality IMO. i also really like the Copilot Gyroscope; if i could get something which combined the Gyroscope and the Prometheus' resonance filters in one box i'd be a happy little kitty. for envelope filters i must say that the Emma DiscumBOBulator sounds absolutely lovely on the demos i've heard, by far the prettiest-sounding i've heard recently. i don't like the Groove Regulator as much...despite the fact that the 3Leaf is much more adjustable, there's something more "musical" about the Emma in the same sense that the Fairfield Randy's Revenge is a more "musical" ring modulator than most. i'm going to try and forget i ever saw that $400 Last Gasp thingy with the two oscillators :mope:
