modernage, i hope you don't hate me for divulging this bit of trivia between ILF bros..... but i had actually acquired a Geiger-Counter to coax Modernage's Shoegazer from his grasp when i suddenly found myself standing before an open door that led to my Twosome.... it was his advice that got me interested in the Twosome, and i ended up selling the Geiger-Counter (literally it landed on my desk at work and i stuck a label on it and sent it away) for the cash to get my Twosome....

sorry dude, but thanks :thumb: i will always value your opinions after that....

Hey Kyle, how long does it take to do the artwork on the lids? Some of that stuff is insane!

What kind of paints/brushes do you use anyway?

We usually use Deco-color enamel paint pens. They come in several different tip sizes and lots of colors and they're pretty rugged once dried. At least water resistant.

How long they take depends on who is doing them and what that day is like. Marianne's are usually the simplest, usually just colorful lettering/numbering. Ross' are somewhere in between depending on how busy he is. Mine tend to be a little more intricate and usually take longer. Though I usually do mine at night while watching a movie or something after everyone else has gone home, so I can just have fun with it instead of feeling rushed.

Awesome! I'm thinking about getting some to test out and maybe take a stab at doing some enclosures every once in a while. Did you take art lessons though? I see a lot of different styles going on in there.

The Decos dry really fast (just a few minutes) but you'll want them to sit a little longer if you plan on layering at all without them mixing instantly. With some color combos they'll mix anyway. There's definitely an adjustment period for getting used to how they work best, how to keep them flowing, how to keep the colors separated, etc. but its not rocket science.

I did the starving artist thing for a bunch of years when I was younger. Then I started working in design, which ALMOST ruined my taste for it. I don't get to paint a lot these days aside from the lids for you guys!
