You can get all kinds of Big Muffs off Craigslist for under $100. They fit the bill you've written.

There have been some great suggestions.
For example:
Fuzzhugger Arc Flash
Devi SM
EHX Big Muff
If you're lucky you could pick up an Arc Flash or SM used with enough money left over to score a Muff off Craigslist.

Big Muff=Awesome, but not as extreme as I'd like.
I'm thinking Devi of some kind, or maybe Fuzzhugger AB Synth ($120, but it's pretty kickass). The big problem being, I refuse to buy gear I haven't played first, so I got no clue HOW I'm gonna pull that off.
