Get an old Teisco for like 100 dollars - I love those things! One single coil neck pup and you're all good.

No "vibrato bar" (seriously I can't call it that  ), though....
ILF pedals: DE Eye of God, Mellowtone Wolf Computer, Mellowtone Singing Tree LE, Fuzzhugger Arc Flash Oscillator, DSc Miniberator, Mysterious J boost/cut/tremolo pedal

Sorry for bumping this old thread, but if I ought a Mexican Tele, I think I would be accused of copying you... I mean, We would both have M Teles, lotsa fuzz, and a band consisting of just us and a drummer... :idk:

Dude right after I bought my Tele my friend got a squier custom II, lol. Tele's are cool, not to mention you can cover "Bittersweet Bundle of Misery" with absolute accuracy.

Funny part is I traded in a Epiphone Goth Explorer to help pay for it.

Poor man's Telemaster. I like very much.

I've always wanted to get a Loïc le Pape Jaguar style guitar with a piezo installed in it as well. (http://www.myspace.com/loiclepape - amazing pics, supposedly great prices too)
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Current ILF Love: OHNOHO CHK CHK BOOM, Mellowtone Melx Fuzz 2, EQD Dream Crusher, Devi Ever ID, Dr. Scientist Proto-Miniberator - new vids eventually

They also have a poor man's Jazzmaster: http://www.maldenguitars.com/liquid.htm

and a poor man's Strat: http://www.maldenguitars.com/utopia.htm

I'd be down to get one whenever I come up on some extra cash. Probably the Tele or Strat, as they look kinda wild.

I prefer singles too (I play a fender am. dlx. Stratosonic with p-90s).

The humbuckers on the Blade are coil-tappable at least.

I haven't gotten my hands on one yet!

Ah, coil taps! I should've watched the video all the way through, I'll check out how they sound.

You don't have a hollowbody do you? I'd suggest a Gretsch Electromatic or if you can find it, and old Harmony Rocket:

Those new Ibanez Artcores (w/bigsbys) are pretty rad too, you'd have enough money left to get some killer pickups and maybe a coil tap installed.
