$30 - Fabtone
$100 - RV-3
$120 - DL4
= $250 total
I could do this all day with Boss delays, EHX and MXR. Throw in some overstocked $40 Digitech pedals. Yeah, it doesn't take a whole lot to get some interesting tools.
Threads like these are bad for my brain. If I can put together a cool rig for $500 then why did I spend much more on all this extra stuff? This is what triggers downsizing. Well, these thoughts and the rad BILF small category of tasty choices on one small palette.

Re: Penny-pincher budget boards/setups - a spinoff, a challe
Provided inbound Chinese minis and clones are fully functional, I should be able to assemble a diverse gazey-doom board for under 5 bills.
Current and evolving list of candidates for the signal chain include (all purchased new, some during sales):
Digitech Luxe $45
DOD 201 Phasor $38
DOD 410 Bifet Boost $44
Kokko Phaser $40
Mooer E-lady $60
Valeton OC-10 $60
Valeton Red Haze $50
Valeton Dark Tale $33
Xvive Memory $79
If the $35 Eno Octaver didn't pop so loudly when engaged and disengaged, it would have also made the list. I still need to find a decent budget envelope filter to add to the mix. The $49 Valeton Katfish is okay at best, and the Lovepedal Rubber Chicken I got for $56 during a flash sale is too noisy when placed before gain sources.
