Would totally hit this if the carrier wave bleedthrough issue I encountered is resolved ... though I wonder if dirty DC power feeding into other bypassed pedals was the real problem prompting me to return two of these in the past.
A low impedance or buffered signal feeding the pedal will usually eliminate any carrier bleed in ring modulators.

Thanks for the tip. I went ahead and ordered another Gonkulator. If my new and improved power supply setup doesn't rectify the issue, I have a few buffered bypass pedals on hand.

They're 69eur at Thomann.
edit: fuck, keep forgetting Norway isn't in the EU.
edit 2: still a better deal actually. shipping for a single Gonkulator to Denmark from Sweetwater is at least 67.52usd, I assume it's the same to Norway. would also be cheaper in case it broke.
Idiot rectification, I'm tired.

Ok, I'll admit it. I bought a Gonk even though I shouldn't have. Ugh. It was 40 bucks and I figured I could circuit bend it. I suck

I just got my two Gonks in the mail today and they're killer pedals. The distortion is surprisingly nice when blended with the ring modulation.

After about 19 years of buying pedals, I am finally exercising a modicum of discipline. I abstained from buying a Gonk, because I already have a pair of MF-102s, and I've been planning to buy a Randy's Revenge soon. So there is hope, JWAR. You just need to spend another $10-20K more on pedals, and you'll finally be at a place, where you can refrain from buying non-paramount $40 pedals.

That is a serious arsenal of ring mods.
