Sucks ass. Another one of those people I never really even imagined dying. It's so strange when they inevitably do.

it's the sad fact of the cycle. or actually not sad at all when it comes down to it. depending on the circumstance. it's only really sad for the ones left behind. they're released. free.
coming to terms is what I feel my whole life has been about. weird and dark. but seeing beauty in it is the only solace I have when it comes. and to take things forward with me.
but it hits hard. I remember being a little kid and having tapes of his and playing scary monsters super creeps over and over...
so.

YES! Thank you! I've always gotten a bit fat "no, that album is the worst" from everyone I talk to about it.

Also the only person to do a credible Black Francis cover, IMO

Earthling was my introduction to "late-era" DB, and it's always been a personal favorite. "Dead Man Walking" is one of my favorite DB songs period. I never knew it was disliked, though, outside of the "old school purist" crowd, which is to be expected.

So sad to hear this, he was such an amazing musician like nobody else.
I feel terrible for his family.

Yeah this is the most Bowie I've listened to in ages. It's a nice occasion, if morbid, to dive into the discog.
