Never tried the Crazy Horse, but it interests me a lot!

Been thinking about finding a CH to try out for you since they make them in Austin but it's really just a Fuzz with Drive and Volt... :idk:
Even though it's just a Fuzz with Drive and Volt it is quite a versatile dirt pedal that can do nice sounds and also not so nice sounds. I say give one a try. You might be surprised.

FuzzHugger(fx) Suneater and Basic Audio Mutant seems both very interesting too.

Seems cool. Soft clipped opamp gain stage, followed by 2 Fuzz Face esque stages with mild tweaks, and a Muffish tone control.

The Mutant is based on an Os Mutantes which is a bit more rippy and velcroy... I have an Os and it's not really in the same category to me... The shop up the street has Durham stuff so I'll try to go by this week, the maker and his clientele are very TGP so I've always avoided them even though I kinda want a Zia Drive cause it's purple...

I built mine. I know it's a sin around these parts but I couldn't have afforded it otherwise. I didn't buy it for T.G.P connection. It was the Neil Young connection that made me want one. T.G.P and their clientele can suck my balls.

Since when is that a sin around here? I always thought we were the seedy yet loveable underbelly of the gear world. :idk:

The building of in production pedals is apparently frowned upon but I only do it for me and the occasional gift. Never for financial gain. Not sure if that is a good justification so maybe I will get tarred and feathered and run out of I.L.F on a rail.

You haven't tried the Basic Audio version.

Definitely an expansion/improvement on that circuit. It still may me a little more rippy than Syl wants, but I think he'll dig it.

OK, so, I was just playing the Basic Audio Fuzz Mutant (and, as usual, sonidero's right). Even with the fuzz rolled all the way off it's still too fuzzy for what Syl's looking/listening for. (Sorry I doubted you, sonidero. :bear: )
