Spring chicken makes it easy with expression. I like spring pre dirt. Ghost echo is good too but is a little pretty rather than normal verb > fuzz

Damn there are just so many damn options. I talked to Ryan and the noise I was experiencing was the true bypass and the fact that the ped was 100% wet. I wish I could just try all these options you guys are throwing at me! The HoF is sounding really cool due to the fact you can tweak the tone print. I'm not too interested in "normal" verb tones. Can the HoF get crazy?

And for the RRR I am all about h2 an p3 after fuzz!

Also I don't particularly care about modulated verb or flerbing or shimmers just pure unadulterated verb and a lot of it.

Ok so what I'm truly working at now is - the HoF is true bypass, will I get unwarranted noise when the signal is 100% wet or should I just find a way to work around this noise and stick with the RRR? Or will any pedal that gets 100% wet be inherently noisy running with butt loads of gain?

Anything that goes 100% wet will be a purely digital signal, so you may get codec noise if you're using stupid amounts of gain afterwards. But if you're using a bunch of crazy fuzz, you'll probably end up with hiss regardless.

FYI - the DigiVerb and Supernatural have no analog dry path. The RV-7 and toneprint pedals (HoF ) have analog dry, but it's disabled on pure wet modes (like RV-7 Reverse).

I would guess Ryan's bypass is as quiet or quieter than a 3pdt true bypass. Buffered bypass will be quieter. Digitech or boss have nice reverbs. Good for trashy fun.

Very very interesting and pertinent info to my quest. Thanks this really helps a lot. It only took me three pages to truly realize the question I was seeking answers for .

Maybe what I should try is dialing back the mix not going 100% and finding the happy medium between less noize and enough dripping wetness for that dramatic emotion it invokes on the listener. I mean I have been running the RRR after a monarch and megalith so there is a large amount of fuzz going. Some noise is fine but not enough where it gets in the way of my normal tone. I'm going to play around with the RRR a lil more but this HoF has really peaked my interest. Especially the fact that it utilizes the analog dry signal when not at 100% wet of course.

The hof is true bypass or buffered bypass if you want reverb tails. There is a dip switch inside the pedal to select either true bypass or buffered. So it really depends what you feel like using.

That totally outdated boss digital reverb sound is the best. I prefer it over every modern emulation i've tried just because it fails so obviously at being realistic it's become something entirely different.
Stick it before any heavy dirt and it just SMEARS everything. Not noisy or particularly grainy sounding either, just drags the notes out and you can tweak how it 'blooms' quite nicely with the tone/mix/decay.
Fucking great. Easily one of my favourite pedals, period.

I can't say I've tried many reverbs, but the Red Panda Context does it for me.
