Hey Ryan - Congrats on the new website. It's completely Awesome! A simple website with your friggin' fantastic pedals would have been great but you totally raised the bar my friend. From your concept to the smallest details, I was blown away (I even showed my lady! I usually keep my online music/gear obsession to myself but this was completely worthy of sharing - even to a non-gear loving person. She thought it was really clever cool). It's obvious that a lot of love and thought went into this thing. The theme and retro space age/Jetson-esque stylings are so fitting with your overall body of work. And the details - Oh the details: The slow moving textured clouds, The way the perspective shifts on the cloud city as the rocket goes up, The way the rocket becomes the "I" in Dr Scientist, the way that you can see earth as you leave the atmosphere, The completely cool Jetsonified pic of you and Tonya at work in your space lab, to all the cool and quirky space humor and visuals - I especially loved the rejuvenated planet next to the cleanness section. Who thinks this stuff up? You do and I fucking love it!
Did Tonya have a hand in all this design goodness?
I do think it would be nice to have a link somewhere on there for all your classic old finishes - That flicker account is off the hook. So much want all in one place!
I know it's all been said - but it's worth saying again: Good job man. The website is great!
The site is all the brainchild of Bryan Kulba with Kobot Industries, wwww.kobot.ca, he's my pal in Edmonton who has done every version of our website. I went to Bry last year and asked him for a total overhaul of pure pwnage and that's what he came up with. It was really cool, he'd just up and surprise us every few weeks with an awesome idea or image we hadn't seen or even talked about it.. like the cool family pic, that was a surprise out of the blue, same with the upward scrolling plan.. I don't think I'd even seen a website like that before. Bry and his team kept on surprising us and totally blew us away with the end result.
Thanks for the bug reports, guys, much appreciated... there's still a couple tweaks to be made for sure. We know about 'em all so far, I hope the pic links and videos get sorted out this week. Some of the problems you guys have are from not having the most up to date operating system/browser/flash plugin.. all those things have to be current so you see the site normally, it's a hot-rod site.
The extra pic links will just go to the sets with the powder coated boxes but people can still click around from there and see the old stuff. I wouldn't make it link directly, it leads to too many 'will you make me this vinyl finish' emails and there's no plans for that.
I'll mix up the demo videos frequently, I would have already but I don't have admin access to that yet.. soon as I do I'll start randomly changing them every week and I'll show off the cool videos you guys make!
