Goddamnit. I'd made up my mind about this one but you can't get it anywhere! It's been discontinued to make way for the new ones. And the new 60s Tributes don't have chambered bodies, so it would probably be heavier than my Les Paul Faded Special.
Maybe Th'Thard Center has one. There's one on eBay, but it's selling for more than they were new, I think.
Geezus.

Used SG Classic as has already been suggested, or the SG Standard P90 from 2012 would possibly fit the bill. Some stores like guitar denter etc. had special runs made for them so I'm sure there are some with the 60's style necks out there. I know mine was a GC only run from 2010. Only place I could find a white SG at the time, and even had an ebony board and 60's neck to boot.

One great upgrade though is that most of them have Grover tuners instead of the basic Gibson ones. I'd never had Grovers until my new Casino and they're really good tuners. So I'd like to have those.
I think the front-runner is still the SG; I'll just have to take a look at the neck and see if I like it or if I could have it reduced.
Those chambered 60s LP Tributes with P-90s are discontinued, I guess. They're the '12 model.

The Tele has a mahogany body, which I like, and then I could maybe put a Warmoth mahogany 24.75" conversion neck on it.
Those are all beauties.

The normal tuners on Gibson that say "Gibson Deluxe" on the back are manufactured by Grover and I'm pretty sure they have the same ratio as Rotomatics if those are what you're using

Oh man. That is amazing. I don't even like SGs what is this.
Sounds like it's up your alley too CBA. Maybe too many knobs for you, but you could rewire it for one master volume and tone I bet.

Neck's not super fat, and it's not super heavy. Plus, it's a weird stripped down Firebird. Another option maybe.

Same with this. Is that how you would really describe mini humbuckers? If that's the case, I should get some. Do they put them in much else other than the firebirds, and the les paul deluxe's?
Because I can't play a firebird. I'll look like I'm in the sheepdogs.

Yeah, I'd say that's pretty accurate. They ran these same mini-hums in all of the 70's Tribute Studios last year (SGs, Les Pauls and Firebirds.) They're a new mini-hum design, so I don't know how they'd differ from an older mini-hum. I contemplated selling my Firebird for a minute but just couldn't get that chime out of any other pickup in any of my other guitars. Kind of a unique sound. Pretty nice guitar for the money too. Most of the 70's Tribute stuff got discounted down to around $500 or $600 by the end of the year last year.
