I could say that I am equally guilty as I romanticize the fuck out of music and musicians but the difference seems to come with that fact that there is some form of artistry ,talent, love, and dedication/self sacrifice that is involved..whereas thinking of things in this "post kurt cobain/faux hippy" way where the drugs they were taking is as important as everything else they did is very short sighted. I guess what I am trying to say is it is silly when someone basis their identity on such a thing...

You know, that reminds me of this guy I used to work with named Kyle. We were talking about music one day, and the subject turned to Nirvana. I can't stand any grunge at any time, so I just said "Kurt Cobain killed music for the early 90's." He didn't have a problem with that, but he wouldn't accept that it's okay not liking the music if you know the guy was on drugs. Like being on drugs is an excuse for everyone to like your music.

Thats silly, I liked Kurt for his music, not because he was an addict or for his tragedy.

By the way we need a vomiting smiley for every time Courtney love is mentioned.

People thought I was a stoner in HS, too, and I'd never smoked pot in HS... I was just withdrawn... and now, people always ask me if I'm alright when they see me outside between classes and during breaks... Apparently I just naturally look sad/mad/stoned a lot of the time, haha... It's probably because I look down when people walk by because I'm weird like that, lol... I'm like a submissive dog or something, haha. It's a weird habit.

REEGARIZE IT...

I think it'll take a lot more than a bit of Cali dro to get through to some of those chaps.

Also, I dread a House appropriations bill requesting $1.7 billion for Cheez-Its.

So in your opinion, is it fact that gay marriage is wrong?

Yeah, he was just saying the government/politicians (or maybe even society if he was referring to a statistic) thought poultry comfort was more important than legalizing gay marriage.
