I obsessed over the pitch pirate deluxe for too long and when I finally got one it just didn't do it for me. I was so underwhelmed Iveonly played it a handful of times and I'm probably gonna flip it.

Like every other reverb I've ever played. My faves are the ghost echo and sgfx surf rider. Most others are either so so or god awful. To me at least but I think im picky about verbs

I don't get reverb pedals that kill your volume as they get more wet.
All but useless.

Most Boss pedals in person after hearing the official videos.
MXR Badass distortion, more like straight bad up the ass

Does this mean we're gonna start seeing some ss/bs built electric pianners?

Didn't like the Wolf Computer either, except in a feedback loop...even when it's doing sub-octave wackiness or farting, I still can't get into the general fuzz toan.
Out of the SM/TP/VFM/DB/Ruiner I haven't yet found anything that I like enough on bass to keep. I love the craziness of Devi's pedals, just gotta find the right combo of circuits. People keep saying the SM is super bassy, I don't get it...and the DB, like, kills all of yr highs. There's gotta be a sweet in-between.
AENIMA. It's not pouring with lows but it sounds sooo good. Especially with oscillation.
I don't know why I ever sold mine

I'll probably end up trying to make one then...

It has a pretty synthetic character to it that doesn't work for a lot of people, definitely not good for using fully wet.
But as an always-on pedal for adding ambiance I couldn't live without it.
Balance at 12, tone at 3, time anywhere between 11 and 3, on mode 10 or 11.
Also, memory man hazarai was a huge disappointment to me. Before I joined here I wanted one for ages.
As for the delay sound, no real complaints there but goddamn it is the most frustrating thing to use if you want to live loop or switch between delay modes. And the volume drop is dreadful.
Also, tone wicker muff. Way too noisy.
I liked the wolf computer but it took way too long to dial in the best sounds (i still don't know what each knob does) and it sounded really out of place in my setup. Kinda miss it though.

VT Bass...I fell for that in my TB days.
Bass Big Muff...
These were both revered at the time, probably still are.

Agree on the SMMH. Was super excited to get it, had some fun finding sounds & making presets, but the interface got super frustrating during rehearsals & I ditched it.
I fucking LOVE the Devi Shoegazer--especially the Soda Meiser circuit--when I play it by myself. But the first time I used it with the band, I played the intro of this song and it sounded GLORIOUS & then the band came in & my guitar totally disappeared. I could barely hear myself & our bass player was looking at me like "did you stop playing?" I turned up the volume & we restarted the song & the same thing happened. I'll definitely use it for recording & I still love it but it's a bummer I can't use it more for live work.

It's a tossup between a Memory Man (and I've tried several now over 20 years, deluxe, non deluxe, reissue, vintage, etc) and MXR Distortion +.
The former just never lived up to the hype for me, the latter was a "How did any of the metal dudes sound half good with this pile of shit?"

I was extremely disappointed by the Way Huge Aqua Puss delay. Didn't live up to any of the hype I had heard about analog delays (this was before the pedal building times). It sounded wrong. Terrible tone on the repeats. Like it emphasized all of the wrong frequencies. Oscillated way before I got enough repeats. After having a Carbon Copy and a vintage Arion delay (still have both) it was a complete disgrace. Flipped it and never looked back.
The Dist+ was also kind of disappointing for me. Only decent with the gain maxed, but even then was only so-so.
