50/50. He opened for Om. I dug it, and he's certainly fearless, but wished his set had been a little shorter.

I had the good fortune of playing with a band that opened for Lungfish for two shows, got to hang with Dan a bit, went out to dinner with him, he's a very fun guy to hang with, a wonderful story teller. As far as his songwriting, I try to parse his religion as metaphor, since I'm not religious at all. I think the world needs more people like him. to be honest.

That pic is from where I was sitting for his set. Shit was like a warm tropical breeze blowing in my face, all of the air coming off of those cones. Badass.

That's awesome. He's definitely a HUGE inspiration to me. I'd love to see a solo set one day...

Trying to find an artist named soma is apparently impossible for me. Can someone link me to some tunes? I wanna hear those amps.
Unless this is some of his stuff: http://shitnoiserecords.bandcamp.com/track/new-slave

It's Stephen O'Malley from Sunn. He's got a few solo recordings out

No problem duder. He's got a solo LP that he put out a while back, and some tapes from more recently. But those tapes go for like $50 of course

Beat me to it.
Thrones is actually my favorite band, too bad his stuff is nearly impossible to find.
