I'd almost rather play a Squier than a legit Fender 'cause I know I'm going to beat it up and stuff. (My bass is an SX, so, yeah). Plus, if you're one of those people who cares about the name, wouldn't you need to buy an MIA to make yourself feel better anyway? Going with a MIM is just like, why didn't you go all the way, you know? And then MIA's are just way too expensive for me to ever consider.

Troy Van Leeuwen played one of those hardtail Squier JMs last time I saw them, for like, most of the concert. He switched between that, and some Fender JMs, and a Tele Deluxe, and back to the Squier. The man has guitars, even the exact same guitar, but Fender, and still played a Squier.

I have a bout as much or less money in most of them then squires... But yeah I'm a picky fuck I started out on a 74 P bass... which I got in 92 for $200 :p :p :p :p :p :p :p

My CV Jazz bass popped off the strap about a month after I got it, landed face first. I was only sad for a few seconds, because I knew it was no biggie. Put the strap back on and kept playing.
