This.
I'd almost rather play a Squier than a legit Fender 'cause I know I'm going to beat it up and stuff. (My bass is an SX, so, yeah). Plus, if you're one of those people who cares about the name, wouldn't you need to buy an MIA to make yourself feel better anyway? Going with a MIM is just like, why didn't you go all the way, you know? And then MIA's are just way too expensive for me to ever consider.
Troy Van Leeuwen played one of those hardtail Squier JMs last time I saw them, for like, most of the concert. He switched between that, and some Fender JMs, and a Tele Deluxe, and back to the Squier. The man has guitars, even the exact same guitar, but Fender, and still played a Squier.
That reminds me of the first time i met Dixie, Shep and Kiko (i can never spell his name right) except that plate was full of cookies.... containing the same amount of greenery...... I felt honored to have have ate weed with weedeater....... then i felt like a pussy watching dixie kill a handle of jack in 30 minutes and seem completely un-phased.... ahhhh good times

And that's pretty much it.
They must send all the magic ones to places other then Washington or something...
or maybe Mr. Mudfuzz's tastes have been ruined by having too many nice instruments in his stable.
I have a bout as much or less money in most of them then squires... But yeah I'm a picky fuck I started out on a 74 P bass... which I got in 92 for $200

Which band?
QOTSA. Saw them this summer. Sorry, forgot he was in a bunch of stuff.

My CV Jazz bass popped off the strap about a month after I got it, landed face first. I was only sad for a few seconds, because I knew it was no biggie. Put the strap back on and kept playing.
What do I think when I see a Squier? I see someone who knows a good deal when they see one.

You saw them on the Self-Titled tour?
Fuck you buddy.
It was sorta that. It was Soundgarden, QOTSA, Mastodon at the Gorge in WA.
