Sort of cross-posting this from the Live shows thread because of gear.
Last week I saw Stefano Pilia performing a solo set - he’s an experimental guitarist that is/has been member of some of the most interesting projects in Italy (and not) in the last 10?years (Zu, David Tibet/Current 93, Afterhours, Massimo Volume etc etc).

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread because probably I’m the only one knowing him here, but that’s an interesting board anyway. Not pictured he had a small case with a couple of eurorack modules (I guess, I’m not familiar with modules at all). Everything was plugged in a prepamp of sort, then d.i., and straight into the venue PA.

I was blown away by how the sounds moved in the stereo realm, it was really interesting.
Also, finally a saw someone using in a live situation a couple of those ILF-approved looper pedals.

Justin Chancellor (Tool)'s latest iteration, he's done what the dude from RATM did & taped two Dunlop bass wahs together but he did with the new minis:

And the reason is?

Two signal chains?
Two different q/freq levels?

I'm very confused yet excited to know this.

so much :excellent:
Never got the chance to catch Current 93 live.
Looking forward to Zu new album, they've finished recording it a couple months back, hopefully coming in late 2020.

Yeah, and they're a quartet now! That was the format they unveiled in Feb. Lots of great photos of the evening on the Facebook event page:

Highly recommend seeing them no matter the configuration, although I'm most partial to the four-piece stuff.

Saw Arabrot at a festival in Belgium in 2016, really fun live band. The Gospel is a super catchy record

JC runs a stereo rig in conjunction with a DI on his bass, so maybe the 2 wahs are clean/dirty?

He's also been developing a signature Dunlop wah for some time, which will probably include a fuzz option (he once had a Foxx Fuzz/Volume pedal in the past), maybe? I am partial to that dual Mini Bass Wah idea a whole lot :animal:
