Pity Sex broke up.
Alton Brown plays guitar and uses good pedals.
Apparently this thread is now the best place to get news I care about.

Beats me. Music pretty much only comes to me through the red and green digital pipes, so I miss a lot of news.

Saw City of Caterpillar yesterday. Blew me away. First time I finally saw 'em, didn't expect that level of energy and awesomness. The drummer's a fucking beast. Guitars sounded better than on their recordings. Spotted a Hotcake and OCD at the feet of the guitarist/vocalist at the right side.
Those pics aren't working for me, anyone know the source?
Edit: NM, the coc board I wanted to know about = DL4, something misterious that looks like a big diy pedal w/ 3 switches, SD pickup booster, hotcake, ocd, El Cap, Boss RV-something.

Dude, early 2000s I took CoC for granted...saw them so many times and just never loved them like I did a few years after they broke up. Now PG99 and Maj Rule are back this fall and I just want CoC to join up for a few dates to bring me back to my early 20s.

I think I would go to that show and simultaneously feel very young and very old. I regret never seeing Pg99 when they were still together. Closest show is Philly though, which is a 5 hour drive away and I don't know anyone there.
Just checking out Pity Sex for the first time now, cool tunes.

I like the area and I like my new job/workplace. I haven't had all that much time to explore or try to find the local music scene, since we've got little kids and one car. Although we did finally find a reliable babysitter and my wife and I had a date night recently. I drove almost an hour and a half out into the middle of nowhere in PA to jam with a band last night that had a kind of sludgy southern metal vibe, which was fun. I'm talking to some people locally about trying to jam out on a noise rock project. We'll see how that goes. No complaints overall, other than shit that would be the same anywhere. I like it here a hell of a lot more than where I used to live. Although I miss being able to find good breakfast burritos. Only game around here in DD and they put roasted corn in em
I need to soundproof my basement and unpack/organize all my gear.
