bummer! it happens

they were absolutely on point when they came through. nothing was pretty disappointing, though.. vocals were wayy off along with the guitar mix. I love that band

I took my wife to see the Buzzcocks with Meat Bodies at the Fonda here in Los Angeles (she loves the Buzzcocks). Anyway, the Fonda is run by Goldenvoice and they mixed Meat Bodies well (don't really know why they were the opener but I assume it is because Goldenvoice is pushing an agenda...whatever, they wern't good). The two little dorks running the mixing board totally made the Buzzcocks sound like shit...twas horrible. Then the Buzzcocks roadie or someone came out kicked them to their chairs, remixed the show and it was awesome. These dumb scenster bros that they hire sometimes don't know shit. It's like they look cool, used Abelton once, and now they are qualified or something. I saw Forward and Long Knife at a place with the minimum equipment and they mixed every band on the bill (I think 4 or 5) well...because they cared.

Basically, these places should hire people that give a shit. I feel ya man. I have had a bunch of my favorite shows ruined like that.

I wish I had a pedalboard of a band that I have recently seen to share, but I don't. I think the guitar player in the Weirdos used an overdrive. Not sure though. Should've tried to get a picture of what Killing Joke was using....

Saw American Football on the Fonda Theatre and sound was close to perfect. Of course they setup is kind of minimalist but still...
