not a pedal but...
a "modular" pedalboard power supply that allows you to add/remove (fairly affordable) modules according to your voltage, polarity, and mA needs. each module could have, say, 2 isolated outputs, with 1 master module for the power cable. that way i can scale up/down my board, buy pedals without worrying too much about current draw or polarity of my current supply, or worry about running out of outlets, and i dont have to calculate current draw every time i want to add new pedz. also, less use of noisy daisy chains (which when 2 pedals are on opposite ends of the board, results in wasted daisy outlets dangling unused under the board). have an eventide which needs 400ma but u only have 1 outlet with 200ma? just get another 200ma module, no need to get a new supply or extra wallwart (which would eat up another outlet on a powerstrip)
and
no more side mounted jacks/power
exp/cv jack at the bottom of pedals
more tremolo/phaser/filter/tape or analog delay pedals with tap tempo in 1590 size and top jacks. the EQD and DBA delays sounds amazing but i just cant seem to use them in a band setup without tap. till today, i have no idea how ppl playing in a band use trem and delay without tap. lots of on-the-fly bending down and knob turning maybe (or a super consistent drummer)

Try TheGigRig for that modular power supply, very lightweight to boot. Superduper expensive though...

Agreed, and with tap tempo inputs so that the lot can be sync'ed together, plus sometimes the tap tempo footswitch is also used for plenty of other fonctions. Yes it can be added after but there is not always room for it.

Cioks kinda has a modular power supply. Check out their link stuff. Whatever it's called.

I was about to say that! Is it too soon? No, its not. Because she had at least a year to make it happen.

i gotta say i think my pal and i would get a lotta use out of a little 4x2 minimixer oriented toward pedal use. ideally it would have 2-knob comp/limiter, hi/lo rolloff, and overdrive per channel, maybe something a little tasty like germ fuzz as opposed to traditional channel strip OD. each effect could be a stacked pot to save space, and a small sized fader for gain for each input channel (alternatively a pan knob for each input pair could work) would help. most important is really the small all-in-one comp, rolloff, and mixer in a tight package oriented toward 1/4“ without wasted space for things like phono or whatnot. i suppose the deluxe version could have some functions controlled by exp pedal... :9

something that combines things we love with things we hate
like a Tubescreamer in the Klon enclosure with CV input
CV would control how much bass do you lose
mindfuck

An EHX bass big muff, with a behringer buffer, 1 top jack and 1 side jack, runs on 6 C batteries with a larger enclosure etched with anti-gay rhetoric.
EDIT: oops, that's all things I hate.

I wish someone would invent a pedal that gives worms to ex girlfriends.

Bumping this so maybe a builder can...........
make a ring mod that would fore go all the dissonant/tremolo sounds and really focus on bell tones and work sound shaping parameters from there. Maybe making them bigger/smaller sounding, maybe some modulation per chance?
Maybe be able to travel into Rhodes territory?
