even moog here in mtl relies heavily on its online volume.
and all your pedals are all on hold and sold before they even arrive in stock.
90% of our pedals go to stores, about 60 a month, we just do a few direct orders a month. Lately, and around here, it seems like we've been doing more but it's just because of the limited edition miniberators and the blem-berators and the ILF pedals since we try to accomodate ILFers.
Mainly though, we're making pedals for stores, some online but mostly physical stores, some with online sales but some without. The 20 stores we sell to order so many and we make so few that it's caused us to have about a year long lead time with all of them. Most of our stores don't even put up updates when they receive our pedals, they're in and out so fast. Stores move a lot of pedals, especially the boutique-y oriented ones, they have high demand and fast turn-around and some of the bigger American places would be impossible for us to keep up with monthly even if they were the only store we sold to. So if the stores had a strong opinion about the battery debate then we'd have to consider it, but I don't know if they do or if they'd care at all.

And my vote goes for no battery!
I do plan on making this new Tremolessence the next of our pedals that we have manufactured for us like the minis. The thing is, at our small scale, the pcbs and components actually cost more money than the through hole versions but we save the time so it's kind of a trade. Plus I plan on adding some form of expression control to the pedal and the fancier upgraded switching system.. I'd say my goal would be to keep the MSRP exactly where it is, $225.

so if there were no battery clips there would be no electric forest jamz...
otherwise i would not use batteries...
Man, Darren, you know how to have a good time!
