Ahah, good topic!!! :!!!:

Digitech Synth Wah: I got one loved it (at some point I had also the Bass version), then sold it because for a long time it was only collecting dust on a shelf. Then I got one again, because I realized I missed it, and it's one of those keeper/army knife/secret weapons you can always (ab)use with pleasure whenever needed! Lesson learned: never part ways from this one!

DOD FX25B envelop Filter: if you need the DUB filter this is the way to go, it has that Bill Laswell subbass sounds that only this one can deliver. After the second time I got one (which I modified with a LP/BP toggle switch), sold it, and I don't miss it.

Boss OD2R Turbo Overdrive: this was one my very first distortion/drive pedal 20 years and more ago when I started playing guitar (this was my second or third pedal I ever got). I got this because from a picture I saw in From the Muddy Banks Of the Wishkah by Nivarna, I thought this was the pedal used by Kurt, only to later find out it was a DS2, so sold the OD2r and got the DS2 (and btw before the change I liked a lot the way the OD2r sounded!). The second time I got this again it was maybe more out of a nostalgia move: but I must admit these old Boss pedals are still very cool and deliver many good sounds. Anyhow I sold it, because I got 2 other overdrives, and this was redundant.

Boss MT2 Metal Zone: this was my first distortion pedal, but soon realized it was not the sound I had in mind and was too much (the EQ, the amount of distortion.. everything!). So I sold it and got the before mentioned OD2r. I got again one 1-2 years ago, because I found it for 20-30$, gave it a try, modified it, and then sold it.

MXR Fullbore Metal: I got this always second hand for very cheap (aka less then 45$). It's a good metal device, I like it better than the MT2 since to me it's more modern sounding, and for (harsh)noise is also a great weapon (that noise gate, can be very handy), but after the second time I knew why I sold it the first time: the distortion has too much filtering and sounds way over processed for my taste (I better like stuff like a Boss HM2 or MD2). Sold and goodbye.

Earthbound Throat Locust: I have 2 of these. To me the best HM2 clone/variant available now on the market. I got a second one, because I love this brand (I have also the Supercollider, which is huge sounding and also with synths pure bliss), and though it was a neat way to support Earthbound during this pandemic time (and hey: when I saw that fancy purple sparkly I had to have one, only for the color :yay: )

Boss FZ2 Hyper Fuzz: I used to have 2 of these at the same time, and also got the Behringer clone at some point (if you ask again: yes they sound the same). Then sold everything. Last year I had this superfuzz-comeback and I got a Boss FZ2 DIY kit from musikding.de (the pcb is the one by pedalpcb.com). If you like to solder: go for it!

Digitech/DOD Death Metal: I first got the Digitech, as I found one for... 15$?! And since by pal from Mulo Muto (my noise-industrial project) has one and he likes it a lot, I had to give it a go! Then few years after I found a DOD FX86b for 35$, and got that too. In the end I kept only the DOD, which I modified to my taste: it's a killer noise machinery!

EHX Superego: I had one, which I extensively used for a long time. Then I sold it because I "upgraded to the Superego Plus". A year or so later I realized I didn't need all the fancy additional stuff on the Plus, and I got back the normal Superego. It does what I need and it's way more compact (and to my ears sounds also better).

TC Electronic SPE Sustain + Parametric Equalizer: I loved this very one compressor by TC, cause it really does what's written on it: SUUUUUUUUSSSSSSTTAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNN your guitar FOREVER! I went so far that I had 2 of these a reissue and a vintage unit (with which I was very lucky, as I got it for 80$ or less, since one knob was missing and the power jack was broken, stuff I could easily fix by myself). Then some good day I learned to play without compressors and sold both!

A pedal I maybe would like to get a second one: MASF Epilepsy. I love this one, one of the coolest and most brutal oscillo-fuzz out there. I almost got one out of a japanese ebay a month ago, but then I got an email from the seller "the pedal is no more in stock". Well maybe it better like this for now.

Almost a double entry: Bananana Mandala. I have 2 of these, the first and second version. Version 1 and 2 are two different pedals: they do share some stuff in common but are different enough, also function-wise, that it makes senso to still have both. I like both a lot. Depending on the need, I use or on the other.

Boss PS-3 / I lost count at some point, but I'm back to one again!

Moog MF 102 Ring Modulator / Had one, bought a spare, sold the spare, sold the other one, then found another, kept it for awhile, then sold it again? Now it is hovering around the $400 mark, so

DOD 250 / Collected the cheapest ones I could find, and only ever sold the last reissue (and bought it back again!). Simple and perfect circuit, even as the variants are slightly different from era to era.

Jwar put the bug in my ear about having two of the same pedal on a board (back when he was trying to get Ryan Dr. Sci to build him a dual Bitquest), which I do of both the SSBS Mini and the DOD 440 Envelope Filter now, so for that I say

Haha, forgot about this. I've had two superegos as well, plus the Freeze pedal once. I have one back now and am keeping it (for now). I need to keep something in the loop that can tame the high end tho, so I only ever really play it with the gen loss in the loop, but that sounds amazing and I very much dig it.

I guess technically I've had two Draumes and two fabrikats also, tho with Draume I got the V2 and sold V1, and with Fabrikat, I had V1, had a technical issue with it, and upgraded to the V3.

I think only the carbon copy. Owned it twice and hated it both times.

I'm also on my second Wolf Computer, and kinda want a Suneater again.
Someone locally (Calgary) was selling a Wolf Computer clone recently and it was called a Fox Calculator

Hm. I've had two RM1Ns and two singing trees... but I owned them at the same time. Does that count?
Technically I have 3 DOD250/Dist+ style pedals I guess... but they're all modded/different so that probably doesn't count.

Really been interested in this one - problem is it’s always about $30 above what I’m willing to pay for a pedal I might flip again. Usually see them here for $80 or so. I’ll pay $60! I think it would be really cool on bass but :idk: I like the three band EQ a lot, the freq knob looks fun and I’ve never played with a gate before.

Blackout Effectors Twosome - Originally bought a Special Twosome Deluxe. It was my third fuzz pedal after a Little Big Muff and a Solidgold Formula 76. Sold it after several months because I had no money and was eager to try out new and different fuzz pedals. Really missed it so I bought another one, but couldn't find an STD so I bought the regular orange one. Sold it because I wasn't satisfied with it. A year or two later I had a little more money coming in so I went shopping for a Twosome again and this time bought one new, because I was getting to a point in my life where I'm more seriously interested in supporting creators. It was around then that I realized that Blackout wasn't doing so hot and I guess they're out of business now, which sucks. So I'm holding on to this one, unless a STD comes up for sale at a decent price. Really should have never sold that in the first place. Its versatility makes it a much more interesting pedal than the standard edition.

Earthquaker Devices Hummingbird - In the early 2010s, I heard a musician recommend it as something he would show off to sound engineers to universal acclaim. I bought a v1 off of ebay for like $80 or something. I remember that it shipped from Las Vegas and the velcro on the bottom was full of glitter, which made me laugh. I loved it and held onto it for a while, but maybe there was only so much playing that I could do through such deep and total chop before I started to get sick of it. I can't remember if I bought a v2 or not, but I know I eventually got a v3. Intended to pair that with an expression pedal, but never got around to that and eventually sold it when I got away from guitar playing for a couple years. Would love to get that one-knobber back though.

The first one was a lucky strike, like 40$ or less, but the second one I waited a lot until one day one popped out at 50$. Here in Switzerland I see these normally for around 70-80$.
The Mid Freq freq is very powerfull and with the mid control maxed out it almost go into self resonance!! :!!!:
