Just bought the Hornet for my girlfriend for Christmas (yes it's early but I found it used as a demo guitar, so I had to jump on the opportunity to grab one without any bad juju). I'll give it a test run soon and let you know Those Duo Sonics are great but the one I played couldn't stay in tune past 2 strums, I'd go with either the Hornet or the Strat. Also, putting JM pickups in that Junglemaster is going to be nightmare, I'm doing it right now to my Jagmaster, fuck it's hard.

Squier ships all their guitars with 9s on them, which are (IMO) unusable on even a full scale guitar, but on a shortscale is just comedy. It's pretty much impossible to stay in tune when the strings are that loose.
