I've seen someone had put a bigsby, pickguard and pickup covers on and painted the swoosh on the headstock on one of the affinity starcasters and it looked lovely.

BTW i stand corrected regarding CuNiFe magnets...i was browsing on Reverb and saw a aftermarket Fender WRHB with the real deal. i guess you can deal with them if you have the resources of FMIC.

fwiw, I think there were a few (only one?) winders a few years back that seemed to have sourced some NOS CuNiFe stocks, but they probably ran through them right quick....

and probably charged like $450 for them. the Fender unit was $179, but that's still cheaper than Seymour Duncan Dynasonics.
