Anyone tried the Squier Classic Vibe Starcasters? or the Fender Modern Players, for that matter...

I’ve played the Squier Classic Red pictured in my friends music shop.

Top quality, especially considering the super low price. I’d have it already if I wasn’t listing so heavily after a Dr. Scientist Atmosphere.
I play.

I went back to the store today and messed around on it for a good half an hour. It is a very serious guitar for the money.

Super responsive tone knobs, pretty high output humbuckers, I really liked it, honestly.
I play.

i'm considering getting one of these, sending the pickups to a guy in the UK who rebuilds them to as close to original WRHB specs as possible (you just can't get Cu/Ni/Fe rod magnets) and adding a Bigsby V7 with the Vibramate kit.
