Dunno if you were talking about my list or the OP's, but I like both of those. I just let go of my only Percolator (Zander Cafetiere), because I felt I could get similar results using other pieces. Somewhere around here I have one or two DIY Bosstones, and although I enjoy it---warm with relatively smooth grit---it wouldn't make my personal top-5. It certainly has its strengths though. :thumb:
I feel that.

A good Bosstone has two nice tricks up its sleeve making them worth a try for the uninitiated - starve em for lower octave madness, and roll back guitar vol for gritty cleans.

Favorite Muff right now is the Creepy Fingers Ramalama.

And on that note, had a Creepy MKI Bender that was excellent as well - also had a cocked wah in the same box - total Mick Ronson. Never should have flipped that one.
Maybe partying will help.

I preordered a Maggot Brain in November 2018. Curious when it will land.

BTW: EQD Tone Reaper is also my favorite EQD pedal. Did you ever try it with an octave up pedal in front?

i have not. that sounds awesome.

i saw a maggot brain on reverb already, can't remember for how much, it wasn't cheap. i tend to prefer silicon fuzzes... i'm a weirdo.

what does the thread think of the SSBS Fuzzz? Looks pretty awesome to me... Just have heard it on youtube though

buzzz is like a swiss army knife, but unlike a lot of swiss army knife effects, it actually sounds killer

(at least on youtube)

i actually think i can get a pretty good feel for fuzzes on youtube, in terms of whether or not they are usable for the stuff i pllay

Badass you say? Look no further: FZ-2
Equally cheap, and more superfuzz-y: Guyatone TZ-2.
I'm partial to tonebenders as well, but it's been a while since i messed with any other tonebender-y pedals since I got a Clusterfuzz.

I can't get big muffs keep from drowning in a mix, and the fuzz face derivates I tried always seems either lame/civilised (actual copies) or over the top (fuzz factory).

There's nothing badass about a $220 dirt pedal with 6 controls and a fancy paint job imo :idk:

Idk about equally cheap...last I checked one of those was <$100, while the other >$250.
Kinda wish I had held onto my tz-2. Plus, tiny pedal before tiny pedals were "cool."

That behringee FZ-2 copy is cheap AF, but yeah I agree that fuzz shouldn't be like 250$.. all of Tom's pedals are the shit. Doom Bloom is legit, the sonic shroom is amaze .. they are all good. Velcrobot is gnar

Edit: this was my 3000th post. Buy a fuzzhugger :excellent:

FH AB-Synth was my main fuzz for a long time (had 2 at one point) but sold em eventually...I should get another.
I think the Velcrobot is the only FH jawn I have right now.

I am on the lookout for an original AB-synth, but I built a clone in the time being. Love it. Hbomb sold me his bot, and I'm never letting it go. That's a fantastic fuzz for real. I really love all of Tom's designs.. I got an OG phantom Arcade.. also really love the Arc Flash. Damn. I want them all. Didn't he make a tremolo once ?
