The rare used ones have gone for between 1500-1800. I don't remember a well respected piece come up so rarely that is as discounted from new prices. Don't know if it is a dud but the used market makes me think retailers could be ready or forced to discount it far further than that $300 markdown.
There was one recently that was for sale on Reverb for weeks for $1800. I just wasn't home to receive the package so didn't jump.

Used or new? I've seen a $300 markdown at VK, Alto Music, and Sweetwater. At VK, it says they're honoring this price through the end of the year.

I'll let you know if I see one, and yes I'd agree that you could likely negotiate an even greater discount. Good luck.

Sweetwater has rolled out their holiday financing structure (36 & 48-month plans), and it looks like Moog has authorized a short-term price break on over 20 products. The prices haven't been adjusted yet, but it says they'll be in place through December 4th.

Good thing I didn't buy the $80 Gonkulator I was eyeing the other day. Also good thing I unloaded my Gunslinger before that price drop. Wish there were still some Meatbox reissues around, at any price. Shouldn't have slept on that one.

I really wish I hadn’t sold mine. The meat box is so sick

Would totally hit this if the carrier wave bleedthrough issue I encountered is resolved ... though I wonder if dirty DC power feeding into other bypassed pedals was the real problem prompting me to return two of these in the past.
