Digitech polara? Nice sound, tap tempo, and around 150 new.

I enjoy my echo shifter greatly, but the tap tempo is barely usable.frigid midget wrote:Can't vouch for the reliability or build quality, but otherwhise the ES-2 is a great bang for the buck imo. Can't think of a single other $100 analog delay pedlol that has tap tempo, and a full second of delay time. Don't really care for the modulation persoanlly, but than again, I don't think I've ever come across a delay pedal that had onboard modulation that didn't sound silly or over the top or whatever to me. The oscillation switch is awesome though, and so is the 'rate' fader. I'm not sure how long that little flimsy thing will survive with me moving it with my foot constantly, but if I ever fuck it up, there's a good chance I'll replace the es-2 with another es-2neonblack wrote:Ibanez Echo shifter is smaller than the headrush, has tap tempo, and costs about 100 bucks.

might have to check those cusack pedals out; the one with tap might work well.

cheap, doesn't exactly sound like they intended IMO, but i don't think mine is going anywhere... at least not anytime soon... but it'll be for my synths, not my geetar...neonblack wrote:Ibanez Echo shifter is smaller than the headrush, has tap tempo, and costs about 100 bucks.

Totally! They were going for something, and ended up with something slightly more bizarre than the initial brief I'd bet.

Barely useable, as in not accurate? Cause I noticed that before, but I always figured it's just me and my clumsy feetBoxbie wrote:I enjoy my echo shifter greatly, but the tap tempo is barely usable.frigid midget wrote:Can't vouch for the reliability or build quality, but otherwhise the ES-2 is a great bang for the buck imo. I'll btw second the Obscura recommendation, purely based on the specs:price ratio. Seems like a very tweakable and versatile analog voiced delay peddle, all in a small board friendly enclosure. The only thing keeping me from snagging one: I doubt I'd use the stereo i/o a lot, while the lack of an actual dedicated tap tempo footswitch would probably start to bug me really fast

Re: Simple tap-tempo delay recs?
This was my suggestion. I wanted a tape delay with modulation, tap tempo and subdivision. Pretty simple, not so big but high as well.ritz wrote:What about the hungry robot moby dick ?

No, there's no amp in there - tone fairies and feedback goblins live inside this box.
