I've been very content with my music gear for a very good while now. Things I want now are more for fun of exploration than anything else.

This lingering midwest winter bullshit has me climbing the walls. Nothing like four inches of snow at the end of march when I just want to go outside and get away from life. Anyway, there's nothing wrong with giving away excess clothes and keeping it simple. One less decision to make everyday. Maybe just throw your gear in box and don't look at it instead of a wholesale liquidation though.
Currently putting a buncha clothes in a free box. Looking at books and records next. Will prolly hold on to the majority of my music gear. Need to just fuck around with it more, get a better layout and setup in my room. Will never easily part with a bass or synth really after my custom P-Bass and MKS-50 got stolen by a house guest 5 years ago. Actualy feeling more than good on the pedal front. Kinda wanna downsize a little and just focus on synths and recording industrial/synth-pop whatever.

actually, yes. the only thing i'm only somewhat undecided upon is my dirt. i use a Mini usually, but sometimes Petee's Fuck, and I really wanna try a V3 OCD. other than that i like my guitars, my board setup , my amps and cabs, and wouldn't change any of them. i wouldn't mind having a couple beater cabs around though.

This is such a game changer. I'm rocking two boards now, little efficient riff jam machine, and a big wild drone space muncher. I've fit all the fave pedals and all the ones I hanker for semi regularly on one of the two boards. I don't have the luxury of a dedicated music room, so having everything stored as ready to play as possible is hugely important, and the more I actually use my gear the less I GAS for other stuff.

I think I'm content? Like some others have said, there's still plenty I want and/or am interested in, but I don't think I NEED anything. I look at stuff and go "that's nice, but what does it add that I'm missing? Is it worth it? Is there something I'm trying to do that I'm unable to accomplish already?" If I think something might really make a difference then that's one thing, but if it's another distortion, I think I can safely pass. I'm trying to see how long I can go without buying anything, rather than buy something just for the hell of it. It's hard, though, I'll probably crack sooner rather than later.

With guitar gear? Very.
With music and gear in general? Never. Mics. pres, synths, controllers, DI's etc all gotta happen soon

Yea, I'm in that place now where I see something amazing, that I have to buy...then I sit down at my pedalboard, and realize I can already make that exact effect or get 90% there with the pedals I have. I'm pretty darn content.
Love my board.

I have everything I need. But I still want a contrast to my only fuzz, a LSTR, which I really like. Thinking about a Terminal Fuzz for the JAMC-like fuzz.
