a lot of the stuff i like overlaps heavily with (or basically is) new wave/punk/minimal synth/darkwave etc but there's a lot out there. once i started digging through blogs i completely stopped wanting to hear any 'new' goth or whatever because enough stuff exists already. tons of people did good stuff and it feels more productive to keep their legacies alive than to try and re-hash shit that isn't culturally relevant anymore. that's just the way i see it, anyway.
