Best:
Eventide Pitchfactor.
Finally bought one after GASing for years, and never looked back.
The "Swiss army-knife" in my setup.

Worst:
Dwarfcraft Devices Eau Claire Thunder. I'm a sucker for muff-style fuzzes, but this one didn't bond with me at all. Tried to like it, but couldn't.

Best of 2015:
The software update for the Eventide-pedals.

Best: CBA Spectre.
Runner ups: ehx nano muff, Ron fuckinswanson super fuzz, ssbs mini

Worst:
Eqd organizer and bit commander. I tried soooooo hard to like these and just can't get good sounds with them. All of my friends like them but I'm just dumb I guess.

Best pedal of 2015: CBA Spectre. I feel like I keep repeating this but I don't think anyone has a deeper appreciation for flangers than I do.

NEW CATEGORY***
Want to try: f.13, red panda particle, jptr tour box

Best purchase: I'd say RM-1N, but there's also the Procession, the Haunt, the Reflector, the Driving Notion, the SEA...

Worst purchase: Ilitch Electronics Heavy Metal, sounded good but way not filthy enough for me, or at least for the sound I thought I'd get out of it.

I pretty much purchased my entire pedalboard in 2015 so it's hard to say.

Best = Algal Bloom V2

Worst = Harmonic Percolator (just not the sound I was hoping for)

Best pedal of 2015 = Heisenberg.

Best:

Dano Fabtone. Basically cause I didn't buy much else this year, and the fabtone just happens to ooze with filthy nasal gain, for the price of a six pack :idk:
Musket. Finally got my hands on one, after trying a while bunch of other muff clones that didn't really impress me. Still flipped it though, I don't really have use for muff type toanz, I prefer velcro and superfuzz style dirt these days...

Honnorable mension: ES-2. It'd be THE delay pedal of the year for me if I could trust the overal build quality a bit better. The fader feels a bit flimsy, and I had to return the first one cause it died on me when I used it for the second time. Otherwhise, it slays the competition in terms of bang for the buck imo. There's nothing out there that I know of that offers those specs for a price that low.

Worst:

OBNE Haunt. It just wasn't for me, I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. There were a couple useable sounds hidden inthere, but aside from the squeely oscillating bleeps and stuff, there wasn't much fuzzyness intere that my other pedals can't also do, but in a better way :idk:
Timebender: Such an impressive tricked out all-in-one delay...made completely useless by the lack of volume control that goes up to unity level

Best pedal of 2015? Beats me, I can only judge stuff I tried for myself, and I haven't bought a helluva lot new peds this year, so...:idk:

Best purchase - pharaoh. Wanted one for awhile. Glad I waited and got it in green. Sounds like this:

Worst - Keeley Phaser. Sounds like this:

Best purchase: Tough call! I'll have to go with Fairfield Barbershop since it's always on and I really don't like my tone without it anymore. It's subtle but addictive. The Gotharman's LD2 is the most fun purchase of the year but it's not a pedal, even though it's a great effects box.

Worst: LAL Misty Cave, just did not jive with my rig, it went from too subtle to poop inducer. The resonance was off the charts on some notes, wispy on others. Maybe it was the room, my EQ, my bass, where I was standing, I don't know. But this pedal terrified me in a bad way.

Best of 2015: I tip my hat to the Dr. Sci Heisenberg and the Panda Audio Future Impact. I'm actually waiting on the latter to ship out but the Heisenberg really fascinates me.

Best purchases: I don't have a singular favorite, but the DOD 250 is on a good portion of the time. Other purchases I really liked are the LSTR, Super Spring Theory, DD-500, RV-6, Polytune 2, and Alter Ego 2.

Worst purchase: Big Muff with Tone Wicker. Noisy as hell and it just didn't work with my setup. Returned it. The Super Badass was sold fairly quickly, too, although I didn't really hate it--just didn't use it much.

Best purchase: I don't really remember when I bought things, but I think I got the MASF Possessed this year? Loving it, intuitive workflow, awesome sounds and sexy Zatoichi vs Yojimbo etch courtesy of jwar. Oh, and the AD4096, which is a great delay for droney, spaced out noise.

Worst purchase: Devi Ever Truly Beautiful Disaster. Very underwhelmed with this. It doesn't suck, but not for me. Too, uh, flat?

Really, I think was the year I settled on my sound, and just tried and flipped a shitload of oscillating fuzzes. :!!!:

Best purchase: a three-way tie between Count To Five, BitQuest and Miku.

Worst purchase: Dwarfcraft ARF - I wanted to love it but the envelope switch crackled every time it was switched on or off, I returned it to be checked over but was told that it was behaving as expected, which meant it was utterly unusable so I got my money back. If they ever make one that works properly I'd love one, but not now.

we have a late night dinner that I would describe in the same way.

Best purchase: not very pedge of me but Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier. It's a 3-channel version but my dirt into clean into dirt woes were totally solved by an amp with multiple channels and a great sounding distortion. Clean channel still sounds good with pedals if I want. I've still got my Infanem 141g, Doom Room Marsh Chapel, and Fuzzrocious Demon King keeping me company if I need it. And while I lament selling my RedBear MK60 I do not regret the sale. I wouldn't mind an MKE120 though...

Also bought a new Telecaster this year. Fender USA Professional. Plays and sounds terrific. Will be due for a pickup swap at some point in time, just have to figure out what I'd like to put into it.

Worst purchase: OBNE Procession. At first I loved it. And then the more I fiddled and tweaked the more I heard the pronounced volume increase as I played. It went from being awesome to totally unusable. At home it was like, "FUCK YES, THE BEST" because I was noodling and not riffing the same way I did in the band context. Once I got to band volumes it was a totally different story. Dang.

Best pedal of 2015: I don't really have one. Nothing that I bought this year is really "killing it."

Best purchase: BitQuest! - Likely, the last pedal I will ever sell.

Worst: Devi GodZilla - Great sounding pedal. Shitty sounding builder.

Biggest surprise: RRR - Traded for it just to get rid of the GodZilla. It was better sounding and more useful than I expected. Sometimes, I regret selling it and contemplate getting another.
