Playing two amps sucks balls....

Try it once and you're fucking hooked. From than on your regular amp on its own will sound thin and lame in comparisson. You'll piss off the other guitarist in your band cause he'll sound thin and lame in comparisson as well.

My car, back, most spaces/stages,...are NOT accomodated for my glorious souding stereo rig :(

It sounds too good NOT to make it happen though, aside from the extra oomph, the ability to send loops/modulation to one amp, and dirt to the other, is just pure bliss.

Don't look too deep into it. I was really just setting up Chankgeez.

It's all about the ally-oop (proposed new ilfterm: chankgeez-oop, the regular setting up of the Chankgeez'd punchline, whether the ally lob goes over heads or not).

especially drenched in verb. i always play a split rig and use a stereo mic to record. (but we are only a trio, which opens up space.) these are live.

I hear that and, yeah, i was only jk--I'm a Cathedral lover, but it has been a fave target of TGP cork sniffers looking to justify their purchase of a Neunaber Wet by cutting down somehing else.

I don't sniff corks but I can always hear the Ehxs doing their digi whine on my shit, I always get rid of them...

Yeah, sorry for slinging names--never a good thing. We all hear different things. I like some EHX, Cathedral included; others by them, not so much. Cathedral I like because of, not in spite of, it's "differing" sonic signature.

Didn't mean to score points off anyone--just appreciated someone getting inspirational use from a sig chain that included the Cathedral. Back to you, echodeluxe....

Adam Franklin and Brad Laner and Kevin Shields and J. Mascis played with dual amps when I saw them...

I did dual for years, Bassman head and Jazz Chorus.

At home I'm using three much of the time, two otherwise.

I'm considering a fourth.

Depth and presence and anything I damn well want, at any volume.

I have harder time keeping up volume-wise with the guitarist ever since he went dual Fender. The problem is I can't get a bigger bass amp, because the car barely accepted the second guitar amp

if we have to take drums, there's obviously just one guitar amp. But it does sound pretty lame compared to the two, even though I can be heard better

apparently we DO need a van despite being a three-piece :/
