Not just the 70's! For a while, that stuff was my favorite toy. Gak and Mr Putty, fun till they're full of dirt and newspaper ink, so, like, an hour or two.

FAIL. Why didn't they just make a Carbon Copy II or + that has a trim pot for tone? Now they have to make two different circuits when they could just phase out the old CC for a CCII or CC+ with a tone pot. *sigh* This has got to be just to sell more Carbon Copy pedals at GC. For the discerning Blues Lawyer who can't have muddy delays.

Metallic spring/field/grass green for the color seems like the obvious choice the more I think about it.
The orig CC is a very dark metallic green that looks black in most photos.

I like how the words analog delay are gone.
IMO those superfluous, buzzword text labels frequently seen on pedals (analog, digital, audiophile, boutique, tube, solidstate, class A etc) are tackier than color selection.

Either way it doesn't really matter in dim light...but I doubt it addresses my biggest grievance with the CC (other than internal trimpots I'd prefer on the outside) ...the blue led that can be seen from outer space :grumpy:

I never had that Slime shit as a kid. A mate did. I hated the stuff, it just felt wrong. Don't know what Gak or Mr Putty is.
 Gak is one of our Aussie slang words back in the day for a vag.

Interesting how both you guys, Eivind and Goroth, tend to gravitate away from tap tempo while (also) playing in odd/compound time signatures while I have had nothing but bad results when not using tapped in delay times when playing in 7/8, for example. Then again, I mostly use delay for a sort of layering of different notes, at the moment at least, and not for slapbacky or ambientish stuff. Have been meaning to try out some new things with delays, though, so who knows where I'll stand on the subject in a few months from now :)

I have an EHX DMB and it has the tap tempo. I only use it to set the tempo to the delay sound that's in my head. And that is never the timing of the song I'm working on. Delay sounds for me is more about ambient texture than time. The DMB is the perfect delay for me and that's because it's imperfect

I've played in a band once...

this is a screenshot from when we recorded an album. This is an extreme example, but you know... makes a point. The best times I remember from the band were all with non-tap delays such as EQD Disaster Transport, original Wampler Faux Tape Echo or a DMM

Well, sounds like it could be sweet and maybe a bit clicky on the high regen settings, but :idk:

3:07 sounds like it easily oscillates into unlistenable chirp territory
:why:
4:40 oscillation...cant say for certain due to the cutoff but thats how it should sound

Edit: goofy demo tries way too hard to be...something else

Screw you guys, I love bright analog delay. I would rock this, but TimeLine makes it impossible to justify owning this.

That doesn't sound too bad though...
